"The Jimny's 1.5L K15B petrol engine delivers adequate performance for urban and off-road use with impressive bottom-end grunt, but struggles on highways requiring aggressive downshifting for overtaking. The naturally aspirated unit feels underpowered when pushed hard, with 0-100kph times of 14.59s (MT) and 17.47s (AT). The AllGrip Pro 4WD system with low-range is excellent for off-road capability. Fuel efficiency is average at 10-14 kmpl in real-world conditions. NVH levels are good at low revs but the engine becomes vocal above 3,500 rpm. The 4-speed automatic is smoother than the notchy 5-speed manual."
