The Vietnamese electric carmaker VinFast entered the Indian automotive market with two of its electric SUVs, namely the VF6 and VF7. Now, despite being very new to the Indian market, the company has started to gain recognition, and it has now announced that it will soon be launching three new EVs in India in various segments to increase its market share. So, without any delay, let's jump into the plan that VinFast has to become a dominant player in the country.

The third electric vehicle in VinFast’s portfolio in India will be the Limo Green electric MPV. Over the last few months, a number of different test mules of this electric MPV have been spotted in the country. As a result, it is being speculated that this EV MPV will be making its official debut next month. This 7-seater MPV will take on the Kia Carens Clavis EV and the BYD eMax7 in India and reportedly will be priced around Rs 22 to Rs 26 lakh and will target family buyers as well as fleet operators.
Reportedly, the VinFast Limo Green will be offered with a 60.1 kWh battery pack, offering a range of around 450 km (claimed). As for the electric motor, it will be a front-mounted 201 bhp and 280 Nm generating motor. As for the design, it will boast the signature VinFast V-shaped grille, split LED headlights, connected LED taillights, aero blade-style alloy wheels, and a long wheelbase. Inside, it will come equipped with a 10.1-inch infotainment system, single-zone automatic climate control, electronic parking brake, ventilated seats, and many others.

Following the launch of the Limo Green will be the small electric SUV-styled hatchback VF3. This two-door electric car will rival the MG Comet EV and offer a similar 4-seater layout. Dimensionally, it will be slightly larger than the Comet and boast a 191 mm ground clearance and 16-inch steel alloys.
It is expected to come with an 18.64 kWh battery and offer a range of 210 km. Powering the VF3 will be a rear-mounted 43.5 bhp and 110 Nm producing electric motor. Reportedly, it will support fast charging, with 10 to 70 percent in 36 minutes. Pricing of the VinFast VF3 is expected to be around Rs 7.5 lakh to 10 lakh.

The third and the largest SUV in the VinFast lineup will be its 3-row SUV, the VF9. It will be offered in 6-seater and 7-seater options and will be larger than the Audi Q7 luxury SUV. VinFast could offer it in two variants, namely Eco and Plus. Both will be offered with a 123 kWh battery pack with a range of up to 531 km.
The VF9’s top-of-the-line variant is expected to get a dual-motor AWD setup producing 408 bhp and 620 Nm of torque. Despite being a massive SUV, it will do the 0-100 kmph sprint in 6.6 sec (Eco) and 6.7 sec (Plus). It will come loaded with features, including a large touchscreen infotainment system, powered, heated, and ventilated seats, a massage function (1st and 2nd row), an 8-inch rear infotainment screen, a 13-speaker sound system, and a panoramic sunroof, along with many others. Pricing will be around Rs 65-75 lakh.

As mentioned above, VinFast entered India last year in September, and it has already managed to sell 1000+ units of its EVs. In December 2025, 375 units were sold, and it has managed to outsell EVs from prominent brands, including Hyundai (262 units), Kia (313 units), BMW (343 units), and Mercedes-Benz (237 units).
Currently, VinFast produces its EVs at its Thoothukudi plant in Tamil Nadu. It has a capacity of 50,000 units annually, which is expandable to 150,000 units. Zac Hollis has been appointed as Asia head to ensure that the brand expands in India and other Asian markets.

For the expansion, VinFast, as highlighted above, will be launching new EVs in different segments. It will also be offering vehicles to fleet operators, which is currently dominated by BYD and Kia. The company is also aiming for high localisation levels and wants to aim for aggressive pricing for better margins.
Currently, VinFast has 25+ dealers in India and aims to expand to 80+ dealerships. Most likely, all of these plans will be executed this year and in the coming years to ensure that VinFast becomes one of the top EV automakers in India.
