
The Vietnamese electric carmaker VinFast has managed to achieve a decent response from the Indian automotive market. As a result, the company is now planning to expand its electric car portfolio in the country. So today we are going to provide you with the details of not one, not two, but three new VinFast EVs that will be launched in India soon. So let's jump right into the details.

The first car on this list is the VinFast VF3 micro-SUV. This will become the most affordable VinFast offering in India and it is already a big success in the international markets because of modern retro styling and city-friendly dimensions. Once launched in India, the VF3 will directly rival the MG Comet EV and lower variants of the Tata Tiago.ev.
The VF3 will be targeted towards buyers who commute in heavily crowded urban areas where traffic and narrow roads are a major issue. Its compact size will make it extremely easy to drive and park in cities. It is also expected to attract a lot of first-time EV buyers in India.
In terms of styling, the VF3 will boast a boxy and tall-boy design which gives it a mini SUV-like appearance. Now despite being a small car, it looks rugged yet futuristic. The front fascia will boast a very upright design along with VinFast’s signature styling elements such as the V-shaped grille. It will also feature flared wheel arches, chunky body cladding and a high ground clearance of 191 mm, which is impressive for a car of this size.

Dimensionally, the VF3 will be slightly larger than the MG Comet EV. It will come with a 2-door and 4-seater layout. VinFast is expected to offer a modern and minimalistic cabin. It is expected to offer smartphone connectivity, touchscreen infotainment system and other essential features.
As for the battery and performance, there are reports which suggest that the VF3 could come with an 18.64 kWh battery pack offering a claimed range of around 210 km. However, internationally VinFast also offers bigger 29.6 kWh and 37.2 kWh battery packs with a claimed range of up to 326 km.
Powering the VF3 will be an electric motor which will produce around 43 bhp and 110 Nm of torque. Most likely the pricing of the VF3 is expected to be in the range of Rs 8 lakh to Rs 11 lakh and it is believed that the launch could take place by the end of this year.

Now coming to the second model from VinFast for India, it will be the VF5 electric SUV. This new sub-compact EV SUV slot in between the VF3 and the VF6. As for the rivals, it will directly compete against the Tata Nexon.ev, Mahindra XUV400 and MG Windsor EV.
In terms of pricing, the VF5 is expected to start from around Rs 12 lakh and go up to Rs 18 lakh. Coming to the design details, the VF5 will look like a smaller version of the larger VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs. However, it will boast a slightly rounded and bulbous silhouette along with SUV-inspired styling elements.
At the front, the VF5 will feature VinFast’s signature V-shaped LED DRLs, sleek headlamps and a sporty front bumper. Other highlights will include flared wheel arches, integrated roof rails and 17-inch alloy wheels. Overall, the VF5 will have a modern and futuristic appearance.

Dimensionally, the VF5 will measure 3,967 mm in length, 1,723 mm in width and 1,579 mm in height. It will also offer a wheelbase of 2,514 mm and a ground clearance of 169 mm. On the inside, the VF5 will offer a more feature-loaded cabin compared to the VF3. Its features list is expected to include a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, PM 2.5 air filter, voice commands, keyless entry, auto headlights and a sunroof.
As for the battery pack options, the VF5 internationally comes offered with two battery pack choices. The first is a 29.6 kWh battery pack offering a claimed range of 268 km. Meanwhile, the bigger 37.23 kWh battery pack offers a claimed range of around 326 km. Most likely both of these battery pack options will be introduced in India as well. The VF5 is expected to make its India debut either by the end of 2026 or by early 2027.

The latest model which has been patented in India is the all-new VF8 electric SUV. Recently the company revealed the heavily updated next-generation VF8 and it has also already filed a patent for this SUV in India. It has to be mentioned that a patent filing alone does not confirm a launch. However, reports have revealed that the company is planning to introduce the VF8 in India in the near future.
Once launched, it will sit above the VF7 in the company’s lineup. The new-generation VF8 boasts a completely redesigned exterior based on VinFast’s new “Tech Fluid” design philosophy. When compared to the previous VF8, the new model looks much sharper, cleaner and more futuristic.
At the front, it will continue to offer the signature VinFast wing-shaped LED DRLs along with a wide gloss black trim element. It will also get large air channels in the bumper. In terms of the dimensions, the VF8 will measure 4,701 mm in length, 1,872 mm in width and 1,670 mm in height. It will also boast a wheelbase of 2,840 mm and will ride on 19-inch alloy wheels. Ground clearance stands at 170 mm.

As for the interior, the VinFast VF8 will come with a massive 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system which will control most of the features inside the vehicle. It will also offer a digital instrument cluster, steering-mounted gear selector, voice assistant, dual-zone climate control, air purification system, powered front seats with memory function, reclining rear seats, 360-degree camera, ADAS and an eight-speaker audio system.
One of the biggest highlights of the new VF8 will be that it will be an SDV (software-defined vehicle). VinFast has developed a completely new central vehicle computer system which as the brand offers faster response times and smoother vehicle control.
Powering the new VF8 will be a front-mounted electric motor which will make 228 bhp and 330 Nm of torque. It will come paired with a 60.13 kWh battery pack and ofg a claimed NEDC range of up to 500 km. The SUV will also support fast charging and can charge from 10 to 70 percent in under 30 minutes.
Additionally, the VF8 gets an integrated thermal management system which manages the temperatures of the battery, cabin and electric motor simultaneously. VinFast has also equipped the SUV with frequency selective dampers which are expected to significantly improve ride comfort and handling.
