Czech car manufacturer Skoda has been in India for over 25 years, but it was only after its India 2.0 strategy that the brand started getting attention from buyers. It changed its strategy for the Indian market, and along with that, it also brought new and interesting products that satisfied both the masses and enthusiasts. Skoda is also a brand that is often associated with sedans, and even today, it offers a decent number of sedans in India and abroad. Here, we have a list of three new Skoda sedans that are launching in the Indian market soon.
The Skoda Slavia is currently the entry-level sedan from Skoda in India. It has been a huge success since its launch. Now, Skoda is working on a facelift for the sedan, and we have already seen test mules on the road. The launch is expected to happen in coming months.

As part of the update, Skoda will be offering the sedan with connected LED DRLs, a revised grille, headlamps, bumpers, and tail lamps, among other updates. The sedan will come with a larger driver display, and it may even get a rear-seat massage function.
The Slavia facelift would continue to use the 1.0 TSI engine with a 6-speed manual and an 8-speed automatic transmission. It would also get the 1.5 TSI engine with a 7-speed DSG transmission.
Skoda launched 100 units of the Octavia RS last year. Surprisingly, all 100 units of the sedan were sold out even before its official launch or price announcement. Looking at the overwhelming response, Skoda is preparing to bring a second batch of the Octavia RS to India. The launch is expected to happen around the festive season this year.

It is a practical four-door sedan with premium features like an electric sunroof, a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12-speaker Canton audio system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a gesture-controlled powered tailgate, and more. It remains to be seen whether Skoda will add any new features to the sedan or continue offering the same version. With the rise in raw material prices, it also remains to be seen whether the prices will increase or stay the same.
The performance sedan is powered by a 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine that generates 263 bhp and 370 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 7-speed DSG transmission and has a top speed of 250 km/h.

Like most brands, Skoda had also discontinued diesel engines across its model range. However, Skoda confirmed last year that it plans to reintroduce diesel engines to the Indian market in select models. The Skoda Superb is one of the sedans expected to receive a diesel engine. The Superb diesel has already been spotted on Indian roads and is expected to launch later this year. The diesel Superb will be expensive, as the company plans to sell it as a CBU, and only limited numbers will be brought in.
It will be powered by a 2.0-litre TDI turbocharged diesel engine paired with a DSG transmission. Power will be sent to all four wheels through an all-wheel-drive system.
