Tata is one of the biggest Indian players in the EV segment in our market. They have been bullish about EVs since the beginning, which is why they currently have one of the largest lineups of passenger vehicles in this space. Tata launched the updated Punch EV facelift last month, and the EVs have also started reaching dealerships. Here we have a list of three more electric vehicles that Tata is currently working on and that are expected to be launched in the market soon.
Tata’s entry-level electric hatchback has been around for a while now. Along with other models, Tata has decided to update the Tiago EV as well. We have come across several spy shots that show the upcoming Tiago EV, giving us a fair idea of what the new EV will offer. The exterior design of the hatchback is expected to remain more or less the same, with revised headlamps featuring LED DRLs.

Tata is also expected to offer some changes like a revised colour theme, a large floating-type touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, a digital MID, and so on.
The current version of the Tiago EV gets a 19.2 kWh battery pack for the MR variant and a 24 kWh battery pack for the LR variant. There is a possibility that Tata might offer a larger battery pack and follow the strategy used in the Punch EV. The Tiago EV is expected to be launched in the market by mid-2026.
The all-new Sierra, a blockbuster SUV from Tata, was launched last year, and we have already started seeing it on the roads. An electric version of the Sierra is also being tested by Tata, and we have already seen test mules of the same.

In terms of design, the Sierra EV is expected to have a similar design to the ICE version. It will get a closed front grille with Sierra branding and other EV-specific changes like a new set of aerodynamic alloy wheels, EV-specific colours, and so on.
In terms of features and interior, the cabin will get a floating centre console, a triple-screen setup on the dashboard, electrically adjustable seats with ventilation and memory function, and so on. It will be offered with the same panoramic sunroof and other features as the ICE version.
It is expected to be offered with the same 65 kWh and 75 kWh battery packs as the Harrier EV. It will be offered with both RWD and AWD variants. The launch of the Sierra EV is expected to happen sometime between April and June 2026.

The Avinya concept was showcased at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. It will be offered as a premium EV and will not be sold through regular Tata dealerships. Instead, it will have an independent sales network. Tata will be launching the production version of the Avinya by the end of FY26.
It will be a crossover with a design inspired by estate cars and SUVs. The first model is currently being referred to as the Avinya X and will be positioned as a premium product. There won’t be an ICE version of these EVs.
