Tata Motors is gearing up for an exciting launch event. On May 28, 2026, it will launch not one, but three products- all Tiagos. The facelifted Tiago, Tiago iCNG and Tiago.EV will officially go on sale on that day. Here is a closer look at what’s to be expected.

The Tiago continues to be a popular hatchback in India. It will get a facelift on May 28. The carmaker has already revealed the exterior and interior designs of this hatchback. The design seems to have evolved significantly.
The Tiago now looks sleeker and sharper. It gets a new front fascia- revised lighting, eyebrow-shaped LED daytime running lamps, new bumpers, new Pixel-shaped fog lamps, restyled grille section and more. The facelift also rides on new alloy wheels. We can also spot Black wheel arches. At the rear, we can see new tail lamps with thin, vertical LED elements, connected by a reflector strip and a new rear bumper.
The interior has also been updated heavily. The 2026 Tiago gets a new cabin colour scheme and a layered dashboard design. Overall, the cabin now looks more sophisticated. Gloss Black trim can be seen on the steering wheel, which is now a two-spoke unit, like what we see on most modern Tata cars, door armrests, centre console and a few other areas.

The feature list seems to have been revised on the new model. It gets a freestanding digital instrument cluster, fresh-looking AC vents and HVAC panel, wireless charging bay for two devices, dual type-C ports, a 360 degree camera, a large central touchscreen, and more. While it hasn’t been confirmed officially, the facelift could come with six airbags as standard, aligning the hatchback with today’s high safety expectations. Tata Motors may offer six-speaker audio system on the facelift. This was taken off the list with the 2025 model year update.
The petrol-powered Tiago will continue to use the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that makes 86hp and 113Nm. A five-speed manual and a five-speed AMT automatic transmission will be offered. The latest teaser also hints at the AMT version getting paddle shifters.

The Tiago also has a CNG version that continues to witness strong demand. Called the Tiago iCNG, it now has a starting price of Rs 5.54 lakh, ex-showroom. It is set to get a facelift on May 28th. Design changes will be the same as those on the regular petrol version. Expect new bumpers, redesigned LED headlamps with eyebrow-like DRLs, tail lamps connected by reflector strip, and new wheels. The feature list is expected to remain identical to that of the petrol version.

The facelift will continue to feature Tata’s dual-cylinder CNG technology. No mechanical changes are expected. The facelifted Tiago iCNG will come with the familiar 1.2-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated engine- based setup producing 75.5hp. Both manual and an AMT automatic transmission will be available. The latest video confirms that the automatic variant will get paddle shifters.

The third product in this list is the facelifted Tiago.EV. It will come with LED headlamps, new bumpers at the front and rear, repositioned air curtains, restyled grille section, new aero-optimised alloy wheels, and a rear spoiler.
Interior design will evolve in a similar way as the internal combustion model. It will get a two-tone colour scheme and a layered dashboard design. Key features will include a larger freestanding infotainment touchscreen, dual wireless charging pads, 360-degree camera, digital instrument cluster, two-spoke steering wheels, push button start/stop, six-speaker audio, rotary drive selector and more.
The carmaker hasn’t officially revealed the powertrain specifications of the facelift. The previous model was offered with two battery options- 19.2kWh (223km range) and 24kWh (293km range). The former used to make 61hp and 110Nm while the other used to produce 75hp and 114Nm. The facelift is expected to get larger battery packs and more range.
