The Tata Sierra has become so popular in India that people cannot wait to take deliveries of their cars, which they have already booked. Recently, a few images have been shared online in which 100+ units of the Tata Sierra were delivered to their eagerly waiting customers. Just a few days ago, it was announced that Tata Motors has delivered over 14,000 units of the Sierra in 46 days since the commencement of deliveries.
The images showing the grand delivery ceremony of the Tata Sierra have been shared on X by Wahan Varta on their page. In these images, we can note that a row filled with multiple Sierras finished in different colors was parked. Apart from this, another picture showed the grand celebration with confetti, where the customers started driving out their respective Sierras.

As per the post, this particular delivery event took place in Madhya Pradesh. In total, there were more than 100 units of the Sierras. In terms of the total sales in the last two months, last month, in February, Tata Motors sold a total of 7,100 units of the Sierra. Meanwhile, in the month of January, it sold a total of 7,003 units of this SUV.
Currently, one of the biggest problems for Tata Motors is that it does not have enough production output of the Sierra. Recently, the company revealed that the total bookings for the Sierra have increased from 70,000 units to over 1,00,000 units. However, currently, the production is limited.

It, however, has announced that it is currently increasing the production capacity at its Sanand, Gujarat, manufacturing facility to make sure that it can keep up with the increasing demand for the Sierra. As per the reports, the company is aiming to increase the production capacity to 15,000 units.

Currently, the Tata Sierra is one of the most hyped vehicles in the mid-size SUV segment. However, the crown of being the best seller in the segment still belongs to the Hyundai Creta. The Creta has been the segment champion for a long time, and it looks like only the Sierra can dethrone it. The only reason why it has not been able to take the crown is due to the production constraints of Tata Motors.

Last month, in February, Hyundai sold a total of 17,938 units of the Creta in India, marking a growth of 10 percent on a year-on-year basis. Last year, in February, it sold 16,317 units. The second best seller in the mid-size SUV segment was the Maruti Suzuki Victoris, with a total sales of 13,021 units. As for the third in the segment, the Kia Seltos took the third spot, with a total sales of 10,308 units in February.

Apart from the already popular SUVs, the French automaker Renault has once again entered the mid-size SUV segment, which it started in India, with the all-new 2026 Duster. The new Renault Duster has been launched with a price tag of Rs 10.49 lakh, which undercuts most of the mid-size SUVs. When compared to the Sierra, the Duster base variant is Rs 1 lakh cheaper; meanwhile, the top-of-the-line variant is Rs 3 lakh cheaper.
