The Tata Sierra has become a huge hit for Tata Motors, and each month the number of deliveries of this SUV has been going up. In the last few months, we have been seeing a lot of mega delivery events being organised by Tata Motors dealerships across the country. And this time around, a dealership from Rajkot has delivered 51 units of the Sierra in a single day.
The images showing the mega delivery event have been shared on X by Tata Motors' official page. In these images, we can note that 51 units of the Sierra were lined up for deliveries to their awaiting buyers. We can also note that, like all other mega delivery events, this time around as well, the number of deliveries was written using the Sierras. A total of 15 Sierras were lined up to make this “51”.

As mentioned, over the last few months Tata Motors dealerships have been organising mega delivery events. A few days ago, in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, 101 units of the Sierra were delivered in a single day. The event included multiple cultural programmes.

Additionally, before that, 100 units of the Sierra were also delivered in Madhya Pradesh in one day. As for the third mega delivery event, it took place near Victoria Memorial Hall in Kolkata, West Bengal. In this event, 81 units of the Sierras were delivered. Another event took place where 111 units of the Sierra were also delivered.
Since the commencement of deliveries of the Sierra in the middle of January this year, the company has managed to deliver over 30,000 units of the Sierra. Tata Motors has announced that it has a lot more bookings. In just the first 24 hours of the commencement of bookings, the company received over 70,000 bookings. This tally reached over 1 lakh in the following weeks.

Tata Motors crossed the 10,000 deliveries mark within six weeks of commencement of deliveries, after which 20,000 deliveries were completed by March 31st, and by late April, 30,000 deliveries were done. Currently, it has been reported that Tata Motors, at its Sanand, Gujarat manufacturing plant, is planning to ramp up the production and reach a 15,000-unit capacity.

The Tata Sierra starts at Rs 11.49 lakh and goes all the way up to Rs 21.29 lakh. It is being offered with three engine options. These include a 1.5-litre NA petrol engine, a 1.5-litre TGDi Hyperion turbo petrol engine, and a 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine. There are gearbox options of a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed torque converter automatic, and a DCT.

As for the features, this SUV comes loaded with connected LED DRLs, LED headlights, connected LED taillights, 19-inch alloy wheels, flush-type door handles, a triple-screen layout, a panoramic sunroof, a 12-speaker JBL audio system with Dolby Atmos, ventilated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and many others.
Apart from the ICE model, Tata Motors is gearing up for the launch of the Sierra.ev as well. The electric version of the Sierra is expected to launch in the coming months, in the second half of this year. It was reported that it will be launched on May 22nd. However, the launch has been delayed.

Once launched, the Sierra.ev will be sitting in between the Curvv.ev and Harrier.ev in Tata’s lineup. The Sierra EV will be based on Tata’s acti.ev+ architecture, and it has already been confirmed that it will get both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive options. Its lower variants are expected to get a single-motor setup, meanwhile, higher variants could come with dual motors and AWD.
As for the battery pack, details have not been officially revealed yet. However, reports suggest that it could use 55 kWh and 65 kWh battery packs. The bigger battery version is expected to offer around 500 km of claimed range. Pricing is expected to be around Rs 15 to 25 lakh. The Sierra.ev will rival the Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE 6, MG ZS EV, and Maruti e Vitara.
