Tata Nexon continues to be the carmaker’s highest and hottest selling model. Tata Motors has packaged and positioned it well. Panoramic sunroof, a highly sought after feature by many, is offered on the higher trims. At present, the Creative+ PS is the most affordable variant to offer this feature, priced at Rs 11.32 lakh, ex-showroom. This is set to change soon. The Nexon will soon get a new variant equipped with panoramic sunroof and priced within the Rs 10 lakh mark.
According to a report by Vahan Warta, the Nexon will soon get a new Pure+ PS variant. It will come equipped with a panoramic sunroof and will likely be positioned between the Pure+S and Creative trims in the Nexon’s lineup. The Pure+S now has an ex-showroom price of Rs 9.23 lakh while the Creative 1.2 (petrol) sells for Rs 9.99 lakh, ex-showroom.
Pure+ PS is expected to have a sub-10 lakh rupees price tag. The handle speculates the possible pricing to be Rs 9.49 lakh, ex-showroom. The Nexon Pure+PS will become the segment’s first panoramic sunroof-equipped offer with an ex-showroom price of under Rs 10 lakh. The handle also mentions that further feature details of this variant remain under wraps.

Historically, automakers have kept panoramic sunroofs limited to the higher trims of a vehicle. Even in the case of Nexon, the lower trims are equipped with smaller, single-pane units. The Smart+, Pure+ trims and Creative+ trims come with regular sunroofs.
Smart+ S is the most affordable of these, with an ex-showroom price tag of Rs 8.37 lakh. Buyers looking to have sunroof in their Nexon thus have plenty of options to choose from. But, if you are particular about having a panoramic sunroof, you’ll have to start your search from the Creative+ PS trim. The range-topping Fearless+ PS also has this feature.

Tata’s move to launch the Pure+PS variant aims at democratising panoramic sunroofs. It will let more people choose this feature, and more importantly, create a fiercely value-packed Nexon variant that would boost the adoption of the model further.
The Nexon has a wide powertrain pool. It is available in petrol, diesel, CNG and electric options. The new Pure+PS trim is expected to be made available in petrol, diesel and CNG versions. Since the internal combustion and CNG versions share much of their interior design and features with the EV counterpart, a similar rollout can also be expected in the case of the EV, sometime later.

The Nexon is a highly popular SUV model that was first launched in 2017. Tata Motors sells the second facelifted Nexon now, which first broke cover in 2023. It had comprehensive changes to styling, interior design, feature list and powertrains compared to the version it replaced.
At launch, this facelift had features like a 10.25-inch touchscreen, 10.25-inch full digital instrument cluster, touch-based panel and toggle switches for AC controls, 360-degree camera, air purifier, connected car tech, a wireless charger, ventilated front seats and more. The safety suite has six airbags, ESC, three-point seat belts, ISOFIX mounts and more.
This version only had a single-pane sunroof. The panoramic unit was added in an update in October 2024. Back then, the panoramic sunroof-equipped variants had a starting price of Rs 13.60 lakh, ex-showroom. The GST revisions that came later, brought about major cuts in ex-showroom prices, effectively bringing them down to the figures mentioned earlier in this article. Talking of broader prices, the internal combustion Nexon variants now sit in the range of 7.37 lakh- Rs 15.95 lakh, ex-showroom.
