Tata Motors currently has only one all-wheel-drive vehicle in its entire lineup, and it is the Harrier.ev electric SUV. Now, there are a lot of people who want more options from the brand when it comes to all-wheel-drive cars. As a result, Tata Motors is gearing up for the launch of four new models with all-wheel-drive capabilities. So, without any delay, here are the details of these upcoming models.

The first SUV on this list is the highly anticipated Sierra.ev. Tata Motors will soon launch this electric SUV in India, and it will become one of the first mass-market EVs in the country to offer an all-wheel-drive system. In terms of design, the Sierra.ev will look almost the same as the ICE version of the Sierra. It will retain signature styling elements such as the panoramic rear glass area and the clamshell tailgate.
However, as it will be an EV, it will also get a number of electric-specific design touches, including a closed-off front grille and aero-optimized alloy wheels. On the inside, Tata Motors is expected to load the Sierra.ev with premium features. The SUV will most likely get a triple-screen dashboard layout, which will include a touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, and a dedicated passenger-side display.
Other notable features expected on the SUV will include ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, a 360-degree camera, and a 12-speaker JBL sound system with Dolby Atmos. The Sierra.ev is also expected to get Level 2 ADAS.
As for the battery packs, Tata Motors is expected to offer 55 kWh and 65 kWh battery options. Meanwhile, the AWD version could get a larger 75 kWh battery pack. The expected real-world driving range will be around 350 to 450 km. Tata Motors will launch the Sierra.ev around July to September this year, and pricing is expected to start from around Rs 14 lakh and go up to Rs 23 lakh.

Apart from the Sierra.ev, Tata Motors is also gearing up to launch the all-new Safari.ev in India. This SUV will become the flagship electric SUV in Tata’s electric vehicle lineup, and it will be offered with a much more practical 7-seater configuration. Once launched, it will be taking on the Mahindra XEV 9S, which has become one of the best-selling EVs in India.
Similar to the Harrier.ev, the Safari.ev is expected to come offered with 65 kWh and 75 kWh battery pack options. The SUV is expected to offer a real-world range between 450 and 500 km. It will also get AWD capability using Tata’s QWD setup.
As for the features, the Safari.ev is expected to offer LED lighting, large 19-inch alloy wheels, a 540-degree camera system, Level 2 ADAS, auto park assist, and summon mode. The Safari.ev will also make its debut around the same time as the Sierra.ev in the coming months of July to September 2026. Pricing is expected to be between Rs 18 lakh and Rs 28 lakh, ex-showroom.

Tata Motors is also currently working on its most premium EV range called the Avinya. Unlike the standard Tata electric vehicles, the Avinya will not be a single SUV. Instead, it will be an entirely new lineup of premium electric vehicles.
The Avinya range will be based on a highly advanced 800V electric architecture, which will be derived from Jaguar Land Rover technology. This premium platform will also support AWD configurations and large battery packs. As per the reports, the Avinya lineup and Avinya X could come equipped with 80 kWh and 100 kWh battery pack options.
As for the range, it is expected to offer between 500 and 720 km on a single charge, depending on the variant. One of the biggest highlights of the Avinya will be its futuristic interior. Tata Motors is expected to offer a flat-floor layout along with a very spacious cabin, thanks to the dedicated EV platform. Tata Motors is expected to launch the Avinya X later this year or by early 2027, and pricing could range from Rs 50 lakh to Rs 60 lakh.

Last on this list is the all-wheel-drive version of the Sierra ICE. This model will be based on Tata’s ARGOS platform, which supports AWD systems. It is expected to be offered with the same petrol and diesel engine options as the current model.
Apart from the addition of the AWD system, it will remain the same from the outside as well as the inside. Tata Motors is expected to launch the Sierra AWD around early 2027. As for the pricing, it is expected to remain between Rs 13 lakh and Rs 22 lakh, ex-showroom.
