When Tata Motors launched the Harrier.EV in June last year, Quad Wheel Drive or QWD was one of its biggest highlights. This dual motor-based All Wheel Drive system was only available on the range-topping Empowered+ 75 trim at launch. The carmaker has now introduced QWD on the mid-spec Fearless+ trim as well, making AWD more accessible for Harrier.EV buyers. The Fearless+ QWD 75 is priced at Rs 26.49 lakh, ex-showroom.
For those wishing to buy an all-wheel drive Harrier.EV, the new variant has lowered the price bar by around Rs 2.5 lakh. This is likely to give the electric SUV a notable sales boost. The range-topping Empowered+ 75 QWD continues to sell at Rs 28.99 lakh, ex-showroom.

Tata Motors offers two battery packs on the Harrier.EV- 65kWh and 75 kWh. Both are available on the Fearless+ trim. QWD comes only on the bigger battery version. The mechanical setup on this variant remains identical to that of the top-trim- two electric motors, one on each axle, producing a combined output of 313 hp and 504 Nm. The AWD version is capable of doing the 0-100kph sprint in just 6.3 seconds. Despite the strong performance, the 75kWh battery is claimed to have a range of 622 km per charge.
More importantly, the dual-motor setup boosts the e-SUV’s off-roading abilities. It also gets six terrain modes, off-road assist and a boost mode. These make the dual-motor setup very versatile across terrains and driving conditions. The Harrier.EV is based on Tata’s Acti.EV+ architecture.

Circling back, the Fearless+ 75 QWD trim comes well-equipped. It gets features like a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, six-way adjustable driver's seat with memory function, four-way powered front passenger seat, ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera, 10-speaker JBL audio with Sound Modes, auto-dimming IRVM, 65W USB type-C port, voice-assisted dual-zone climate control, cooled storage under front armrest, ambient lighting, wireless charging, and rear sunshades.
19-inch alloy wheels, cornering lamps and sequential turn indicators are also part of the package.
This trim continues to miss out on features like auto park assist, Level 2 ADAS, a larger 14.53-inch touchscreen, Dolby Atmos, digital IRVM, powered tailgate, and a few others.
Along with the new variant, Tata Motors has also introduced a new colour on the Harrier.EV- Seaweed Green. It will be available across the Harrier.EV lineup. The palette now has six shades- Empowered Oxide, Nainital Nocturne, Seaweed Green,, Stealth Matte Black, Pristine White and Pure Grey.

The QWD variants of the Harrier.EV have consistently been in great demand since launch. The carmaker had previously confirmed that the demand for AWD variants was much more than what they had expected. The message was clear- people loved the idea of a fast, off-road capable, all-wheel-drive Harrier. Clearly, making the dual motor setup more affordable would only increase sales.
The Fearless+ trim strikes a sweet spot with its features and packaging. It is not desperate to impress you with features and electronics and offers everything needed to keep occupants comfortable and entertained. Combining these, it makes a lot of sense to choose the Fearless+ as the ideal base for a mid-spec, more affordable Harrier.EV.
Harrier.EV continues to sit in the Rs 21.49 lakh- Rs 28.99 lakh bracket with its ex-showroom prices and now has seven variants including the newly introduced one.
