Skoda had a great start this year with their updated or facelifted Kushaq SUV. The prices are out, and official deliveries for the same have also started. The reason why the Kushaq got so much attention was mainly because of the brand’s strategy. They launched the SUV at attractive prices, and they also made sure that they loaded the base variant with a decent number of features. Here we have a list of three more Skoda SUVs that the brand plans to launch later this year.
The Skoda Kylaq is one of the most popular models for the brand in India. It is also the best-seller and has turned out to be a game-changer for the brand in the Indian market. Skoda sold over 50,000 units in just over a year. This sub-4-metre SUV offers a good mix of comfort, features, and performance.

Skoda is now planning to launch a Sportline version of the Kylaq this year. It will be a sportier-looking variant with blacked-out elements. It will continue to use the same 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine producing 115 PS and 178 Nm of torque. With this update, Skoda might also introduce a new 8-speed automatic transmission, replacing the current 6-speed unit. The SUV will also come with a 6-speed manual.
Skoda, due to strict emission norms, had discontinued diesel engines completely from their lineup in India. They continue to offer diesel engines in a few of their models abroad. Earlier last year, Skoda had shared their plans to reintroduce diesel engines in a few models, and it looks like the Kodiaq diesel is going to be one of them. The SUV is expected to get launched later this year.

It will be offered as a CBU, and that means it is not going to be an affordable SUV by any means. It will be offered with a 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine producing around 190 hp and 360 Nm of torque, paired with a 4x4 system.
The Kodiaq will come with features like a 13-inch infotainment screen, a 10.25-inch driver display (or Virtual Cockpit, as Skoda likes to call it), luxurious Alcantara interiors, a 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS, ventilated seats with a massaging function, multi-zone climate control, and so on.
Other than the diesel, Skoda is also planning to introduce the performance-oriented version of the Kodiaq, i.e., the Kodiaq RS, in the market later this year. Compared to the regular Kodiaq, the RS will have an RS bumper, gloss-black elements on the grille and many other areas instead of chrome, and so on.

As this is the RS variant, the SUV will come with an all-black, sporty-looking interior with red accents, RS badging at multiple places, RS-specific sports seats, along with all the premium features like a panoramic sunroof, and so on. It will be powered by a 2.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine generating around 263 PS and 370 Nm of torque. This would also be a CBU, and just like the Octavia RS, it is also likely to come in limited numbers.
