Skoda Auto India has finally launched the highly anticipated Kushaq facelift in India with a price tag of Rs 10.69 lakh. This SUV sits above the Kylaq sub-compact SUV and the Kodiaq flagship in India. Now, while it is much more affordable than the Kodiaq, the Kushaq facelift overlaps with the top-of-the-line variants of the Kylaq. Now, if you are someone who is wondering which variant of the Kushaq facelift overlaps with the Kylaq, then you have come to the right spot.

The main basis of this comparison of the two siblings is their pricing. Skoda has launched the Kushaq facelift with a starting price tag of Rs 10.69 lakh for the base Classic+ variant with the 6-speed manual gearbox. As for the 8-speed AISIN automatic gearbox option, it has priced it at Rs 12.69 lakh.

Meanwhile, the Skoda Kylaq Signature trim, which is the third-top trim, starts at Rs 9.4 lakh and goes up to Rs 12.99 lakh for the Prestige+ AT.
The first price band in which we will be comparing these two SUVs will be Rs 10.5 lakh to Rs 11 lakh. Within this band, the Kushaq facelift’s base Classic+ variant starts at Rs 10.69 lakh and offers LED headlights and taillights, a single-pane electric sunroof, Climatronic AC, 6 airbags as standard, 40+ safety features, a 7-inch infotainment system, rain-sensing wipers, and a rear defogger.

Meanwhile, the Kylaq Signature MT (Rs 9.4 lakh) and AT (Rs 10.4 lakh) are also offering the same 7-inch infotainment system, rear AC vents, wireless connectivity, TPMS, alloy wheels, a rear wiper and washer.
So now, if we are talking about the features alone, the Kylaq wins in this price band. However, when space and road presence are taken into consideration, the Kushaq facelift wins. So, if you want a higher SUV feel, then you can opt for the Kushaq, but if your preference is more usable features, then go with the Kylaq.

In the price band of Rs 11 lakh to Rs 12 lakh, the Skoda Kylaq is the only offering. It is because there is an additional trim in the Kylaq lineup, which is the Signature+ trim. With the manual gearbox, it is priced at Rs 10.7 lakh, and with the automatic gearbox, it is priced at Rs 11.7 lakh.
This particular variant of the Kylaq offers the bigger 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument gauge cluster, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a rear camera, keyless entry, auto headlights, automatic AC, and a sunroof. The Kushaq facelift does not compete with the Signature+ Kylaq, as the Signature variant of the Kushaq starts at Rs 14.59 lakh.
Now, coming to the last price band of Rs 12 lakh to Rs 13 lakh, the Skoda Kushaq facelift Classic+ variant with the 8-speed automatic gearbox is priced at Rs 12.69 lakh. The main highlight of this variant is the newly introduced 8-speed AISIN automatic gearbox, which is the first in the entire mid-size SUV segment. The rest of the features remain the same as the standard manual Classic+ variant.

Meanwhile, the Kylaq Prestige and Prestige+ AT variants, which are priced between Rs 12.75 lakh and Rs 12.99 lakh, are the top-of-the-line variants of this SUV. These variants offer ventilated seats, a wireless charger, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument gauge cluster, leatherette upholstery, ambient lighting, 6-way powered seats, and (Prestige+).
Now, in this price band, the winner in terms of features alone is the Kylaq. However, in terms of engine smoothness (mainly due to the 8-speed automatic gearbox), as well as space and comfort, the Kushaq facelift Classic+ AT takes the cake. However, if you are someone who wants a premium-feeling cabin, then you can opt for the Kylaq, as it has a ton of high-quality materials and features.

If you want a bigger SUV with better safety perception and stronger road presence, then you should opt for the Skoda Kushaq facelift Classic+ variant. However, if you are someone who wants a more tech-loaded vehicle and an SUV with a smaller footprint, which is easier to navigate in the city, then we'll suggest you go with the Kylaq.
