Renault and Nissan are working closely together in India, and both brands have introduced a new strategy to strengthen their presence in the market. As part of this plan, they aim to launch new products, expand their lineup, and improve their dealership and service networks. Like many other manufacturers, Renault and Nissan are also focusing on hybrid technology for India. Here is a list of six such Renault and Nissan models that are expected to launch in the market soon.

The first SUV on this list is the recently launched Duster. Renault has already started deliveries of the Duster, but currently only the turbo petrol variants are being delivered. The strong hybrid version, which uses a 1.8-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with a strong hybrid system and a 1.4 kWh battery pack, is yet to be launched.
Bookings for the Duster Hybrid have already begun, and interestingly, the hybrid variant is reportedly sold out for 2026. The official launch is expected around the festive season this year. Renault claims that the Duster Hybrid will be one of the most efficient in its segment, with the ability to run in EV mode for up to 80 percent of city driving.
After the Duster, Renault will focus on its upcoming seven-seater SUV for the Indian market, based on the Boreal unveiled internationally. It shares its platform with the Duster but is larger in size and offers a longer wheelbase, allowing space for a third row.

The Boreal Hybrid is expected to use the same 1.8-litre hybrid petrol engine as the Duster, delivering similar performance and efficiency figures.

Renault has also shown interest in entering the highly competitive sub-4-metre SUV segment and showcased the Bridger concept as part of this strategy. The Bridger is based on the R-GMP architecture, derived from the CMF-B platform, and has been developed by Renault India’s engineering and R&D team.
The design aims to look compact on the outside while offering a spacious cabin inside. It is expected to be offered with a 1.0-litre turbo petrol and a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, along with strong hybrid options. However, exact details about the hybrid system are not yet known.
Nissan is expected to launch its version of the Duster, likely to be called the Tekton, in the Indian market. In terms of design, the Nissan version will draw inspiration from the Patrol SUV, featuring a different grille, bumpers, alloy wheels, and a distinct interior theme.

Mechanically, the SUV will remain similar to the Duster. Apart from the 1.0-litre and 1.3-litre turbo petrol engines, Nissan is also expected to offer the 1.8-litre naturally aspirated strong hybrid engine. It remains to be seen whether Nissan will launch the hybrid variant alongside the standard versions or follow Renault’s strategy of introducing it later.

Following the Tekton, Nissan is also expected to introduce a 7-seater version of the SUV. It is yet to be confirmed whether this version will follow Nissan’s Patrol-inspired design language or adopt a look closer to Renault’s Boreal.
The 7-seater Tekton is expected to use the same 1.8-litre strong hybrid engine, producing a combined output of around 160 PS.
Renault is likely to launch the Bridger next year, and if that happens, we can expect Nissan to introduce its own version within a gap of around 3–6 months.

This model will be based on the same platform and is expected to feature similar hybrid technology as the Renault Bridger.
