The mid-size SUV game in India has become a lot more interesting in the last couple of years. We have seen more brands explore this segment for multiple reasons. Some of them survive, while others struggle. Almost every brand present in the Indian market has at least one product in this segment. Here we have a list of seven such mid-size SUVs that are expected to launch in the market this year.

Renault launched the Duster with two engine options, and deliveries for the same have already started. The third option is a 1.8-litre strong-hybrid petrol engine. Bookings for this variant have already started, and deliveries along with the official launch are expected to happen around the festive season this year.
Renault claims that this system is so efficient that the SUV will remain in EV mode nearly 80 percent of the time when driven inside the city. It comes with a 1.4 kWh battery pack to support this efficient hybrid system.

Nissan will also launch its mid-size SUV, the Tekton, this year. It is based on the same platform as the Duster and will remain mechanically similar while also sharing many features. However, the exterior design of the Tekton will be inspired by the Nissan Patrol.
It is expected to be offered with a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine. The strong-hybrid version is expected to launch next year.

Tata has been working on the Sierra EV for a very long time now. The official launch of the SUV is expected in the second quarter of 2026. It will come with the same design as the ICE version but with EV-specific changes like a closed grille, different alloy wheels, QWD and RWD options, EV-specific interiors, and more.
It is expected to be offered with the same 65 kWh and 75 kWh battery packs as the Tata Harrier EV and will likely be priced below the current flagship model.

After Maruti Suzuki, Toyota is also gearing up to launch its first electric SUV in the Indian market. The Toyota eBella, as we know, is actually a rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki eVitara. Toyota is offering a different exterior design, which gives the SUV a unique look and character.
Toyota has already unveiled the SUV, but the official price announcement is yet to happen. We expect the launch to happen in the coming months.
The Toyota eBella will come with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated front seats, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, a fixed panoramic glass roof, a 10-speaker JBL audio system, and more.
The Toyota eBella will be offered with a 49 kWh battery pack producing 144 PS and 189 Nm of torque, with a claimed range of 440 km. The 61 kWh battery-pack version will generate 174 PS and 189 Nm of torque, with a claimed range of 543 km. Toyota might launch the eBella next month.

Renault will also be launching a 7-seater SUV in the market this year. It is going to be based on the same platform as the Duster but will take inspiration from the Bigster concept and the Boreal SUV sold in other markets.
It will be slightly bigger than the Duster and will also offer a longer wheelbase. The SUV is expected to be offered with a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a manual gearbox and a 6-speed DCT. The strong-hybrid version is expected to follow at least 3–6 months after launch.

The Mahindra Scorpio N is an extremely popular SUV among buyers who want a rugged-looking SUV with a comfortable interior and modern features. Mahindra is now working on a facelift for this SUV, and the same has been spotted testing several times.
As part of the facelift, the SUV is expected to come with minor cosmetic changes on the outside, including a new set of wheels, redesigned bumpers and grille, and maybe even updated headlamps. The SUV is also expected to get a bigger Roxx-like touchscreen on the inside, and we may see Level 2 ADAS being offered in more variants.
It will continue to come with the same 2.2-litre diesel and 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine options with both manual and automatic transmissions.

The original Scorpio is also expected to receive an update this year. Buyers already love the Scorpio Classic for its raw and rugged look. We are sure Mahindra is not going to make any major changes that would alter its overall character.
The brand might offer minor cosmetic changes on the outside along with a few updates to the cabin, such as a new touchscreen infotainment system with better resolution, a revised colour theme for the interior, and more.
