Renault launched the Duster in the market recently. This is just one of the many SUVs that the French car manufacturer plans to introduce to expand its line-up. This move is aimed at improving its presence in the Indian market. Mid-size SUVs are gaining popularity in India, and this is one of the most sought-after SUV segments in the country. Because of this, almost every manufacturer has at least one product in this segment. With rising competition, Renault was not planning to hold itself back. Here is a list of three such SUVs that we expect Renault to launch soon in the market.

Renault has just launched the Duster, and deliveries for the same have also started. However, there is one more version of the Duster that is yet to be launched - the hybrid variant. Renault was accepting bookings for the hybrid variant as well.

Renault mentioned that almost 40 percent of buyers from metro cities have opted for the hybrid variant, and they are currently sold out for 2026. They are planning to increase the production of the hybrid variant to meet future demand.
The Renault Duster Hybrid will be launched around the festive season this year. It will be offered with a 1.8-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with an efficient hybrid system. This system would allow you to use the car as an EV up to 80 percent of the time when driven in the city.
Renault is also working on a 7-seater SUV based on the same platform as the Duster. It will be slightly different from the Duster, as it is expected to be dimensionally larger and might also get a longer wheelbase. The SUV might feature a Duster-inspired exterior design or could even be inspired by the Boreal, offering a decent number of features similar to the Duster, along with an additional third row of seats.

It will be powered by a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 163 PS and 280 Nm of torque. The engine will be paired with a 6-speed manual and a DCT gearbox option. Renault is unlikely to offer the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine from the Duster, as it may not perform well and could feel underpowered in a 7-seater setup. Renault is expected to launch the Boreal towards the end of 2026.
Just like the Duster, Renault will also bring a hybrid version of the Boreal to India. The 7-seater SUV has been spotted testing in India, and based on the images, it looks more like the Duster than the Boreal. Renault might go with a Duster-like design at the front and may offer a different tail lamp unit to differentiate it from the 5-seater version.

It will be offered with the same 1.8-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with a strong hybrid system as the Duster. Renault is expected to launch the Boreal (or Bigster) later this year, and the hybrid version is likely to arrive around six months after the launch of the regular model.
