Renault launched the new, third-generation Duster in India on March 17, 2026. The carmaker has since been conducting experiential camps at various dealerships and in several cities. Customer deliveries were slated to commence by mid-April. Now, we have come across the first delivery of the new Duster. And have a video to show for.
This video has been shared on the channel ‘Narru's Auto vlog's’, and appears to be from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. In it, we see a brand-new Duster, finished in Pearl White colour, standing ready for delivery. Six exterior colour options are available- Jade Mountain Green, Pearl White, Sunset Red, River Blue, Stealth Black, and Moonlight Silver.
It is initially kept covered by a veil. The customers- a family, soon receive the car from the dealer staff. The staff give gifts to the kids in the group and later the keys to the vehicle are handed over. The family then gets into the car and drives it out.

The new Duster is priced from Rs 10.49 lakh. The range-topping variant comes at Rs 18.49 lakh. This undercuts turbo-petrol prices of many of its rivals.
The SUV is available in five trims- Authentic, Evolution, Techno, Techno+ and Iconic. There is also a limited-run Iconic Launch Edition on sale. Two engine options are available on this SUV- 1.0 turbocharged petrol and 1.3 turbocharged petrol. The latter is available starting from the Evolution trim.
The India-spec Duster resembles the global model with its silhouette. Unlike the international version, it gets eyebrow-like LED DRLs and ‘DUSTER’ spelled out on the grille, and connected LED tail lamps. The new Duster has an upright stance and SUV- like design. Other design highlights include bold body cladding, C-pillar mounted rear door handles, 18-inch alloy wheels, integrated rear spoiler and more. It has a ground clearance of 212 mm.

Inside, the new Duster has a dual-tone colour scheme. The seats get leatherette upholstery and come with adjustable headrests and three-point seatbelts.
The feature list consists of a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, six-speaker Arkamys sound system, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, built-in Google integration, 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, electronic parking brake, panoramic sunroof, powered and ventilated front seats, powered tailgate, wireless charger, 48-colour ambient lighting and more.
Renault knows just how sensitive the Indian market is towards features, and has packaged the SUV accordingly. The new Duster also excels with its capacity- it can accommodate 700 litres, measured up to the roof.
On the safety front, Renault has given the new Duster six airbags, ABS, front and rear parking sensors, four disc brakes, and even level 2 ADAS. In a first-in-the-industry move, Renault is also offering a 7-year or 1.5 lakh km warranty on the new Duster.

The new Duster is underpinned by the heavily localised RGMP (Renault Group Modular Platform) platform. It has a more advanced electrical and electronics (E&E) architecture co-developed with Google. It is called SoftWare Electric & Electronic Technology (SWEET 400).
Talking about the engines, the 1.0L turbo-petrol makes 98hp and 160Nm while the 1.3 turbocharged petrol produces 160hp and 280Nm. The former is available only with a manual transmission while a six-speed DCT gearbox is available as an option with the latter.
The carmaker also has plans to add a third, strong hybrid powertrain to the lineup in the near term. It will consist of a 1.8L naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with two electric motors and a 1.4kWh battery pack. This powertrain will have a strong focus on maximising fuel efficiency, and is expected to be introduced around Diwali this year.
