The Renault Duster is one of the newest and hottest mid-size SUVs in India, and a lot of people were waiting to see its base Authentic variant in real life. Well, if you are also one of those people, then you have come to the right spot. Here is a detailed walkaround video and all the details of the Renault Duster’s base Authentic variant.
This video walkaround of the Renault Duster base variant has come courtesy of GA Automotive on their channel on YouTube. It starts off with the vlogger mentioning that this particular SUV is a base Authentic variant of the new Duster, which starts at Rs 10.69 lakh. Being the base variant, it is offered in three color options, namely Pearl White, Moonlight Silver, and Stealth Black.

This variant does not get any dual-tone color options. He also opens the bonnet of the SUV to showcase the only engine option offered with this variant. The base Authentic variant only gets the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, which makes 100 PS and 166 Nm of torque, and it only comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Soon after this, he starts showing the exterior design details of the base Authentic variant. At the front, he highlights that it comes equipped with the same automatic LED headlights as the higher-spec variants. These lights also get automatic levelling as well. Apart from it, this variant also gets a gloss black front grille with silver Duster badging.
The vlogger also highlights that it may seem like it has been given front parking sensors. However, it is just the housing for the sensors. Apart from these, it also does not get silver skid plates. Instead, it gets a black cladded bumper, which gives it a rugged appearance.

He then shows the side profile of this SUV. He highlights that it is not offered with alloy wheels. Instead, it gets 17-inch steel wheels without any wheel covers. Also, there are no roof rails, shark fin antenna, or any type of sunroof. It only comes equipped with body-colored door handles and ORVM covers.

Next up, he moves to the rear end of this SUV. The vlogger then mentions that, unlike the higher variants, it does not get connected LED taillights. Instead, it only gets a set of V-shaped LED taillights on either end. It also misses out on a rear wiper, washer, and defogger setup, but it does get a high-mounted LED stop lamp and an integrated rear spoiler. Additionally, the SUV also gets four rear parking sensors but no rear camera.

After showing the exterior, the vlogger then opens the boot of this SUV. He mentions that it does not come with a parcel tray. As a result, without the parcel tray, its boot capacity is 700 litres, and with the parcel tray, it is 518 litres. It also misses out on the spare wheel. Instead, it comes equipped with a puncture repair kit.
He then shows the cabin of this SUV, which gets a 7-inch digital instrument TFT display, manual air conditioning system, all four one-touch windows, fabric upholstery with white contrast stitching, no music system, and no speakers. It does, however, get auto-folding ORVMs and a tyre pressure monitoring system along with 6 airbags and other safety features.
