The French automaker Renault has started its comeback journey in India with the new-generation Duster. Now, to make sure that it can reach its former glory in India, it will be launching 6 new SUVs in the country. So, without any delay, here are the details of the upcoming 6 new Renault SUVs that will be launched in India.

At the time of the launch of the new-generation Duster, Renault announced that it will be launching the strong hybrid version of this SUV around Diwali 2026. Its complete design and dimensions will remain identical to the standard Duster. However, its biggest highlight will be its new 1.8-litre strong hybrid powertrain. It will consist of a 1.8-litre petrol engine, two electric motors, as well as a 1.4 kWh battery pack and an 8-speed DHT automatic gearbox.
The combined output will be 160 bhp and 172 Nm. Renault claims that up to 80 percent of city driving can be done in EV mode. The SUV is also expected to offer fuel efficiency of around 26 kmpl, which will be very impressive. Its list of features will remain the same as the standard model, and it will come equipped with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument gauge cluster, Level-2 ADAS, a panoramic sunroof, powered and ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera, and a large touchscreen. Its pricing is expected to be between Rs 20-25 lakh.

After the Duster, Renault will be launching the Boreal in India by late 2026. This will be a three-row, 7-seater version of the Duster, and it will be aimed at buyers looking for a spacious family vehicle. It will measure over 4.5 metres in length and boast a wheelbase of 2,702 mm. With this extra wheelbase, the Boreal will provide generous cabin space and practicality to the middle-row and third-row occupants.
Powering the Boreal will be a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine, which will produce up to 163 bhp and 270 Nm of torque. It will come paired with a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. As for the feature highlights, it is expected to include dual 10-inch screens, Google-integrated infotainment, a panoramic sunroof, a Harman Kardon audio system, powered seats with a massage function, and Level-2 ADAS. The Boreal is expected to be priced between Rs 13 lakh and Rs 23 lakh ex-showroom.

Renault will also introduce a strong hybrid version of the Boreal after the launch of the standard model. The Boreal Hybrid will use the same 1.8-litre E-Tech hybrid powertrain that will be seen on the new Duster Hybrid. This setup will combine a petrol engine, two electric motors, and a 1.4 kWh battery pack to generate 160 bhp and 172 Nm of torque. The design and features will remain the same as the standard model. The Boreal Hybrid is expected to launch in 2027, with prices likely to start around Rs 22 lakh.

Renault recently showcased the concept of the Bridger sub-compact SUV globally. This new model will become one of Renault's most important launches in India, and it is expected to make its debut in 2027. It will be positioned between the Kiger and Duster, and this sub-4-metre SUV will compete directly with the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and Maruti Brezza. It will be based on Renault's new RGMP Small platform and will feature an upright SUV stance, rugged styling, high ground clearance, and a practical cabin.
Its powertrain options will include new 1.2-litre naturally aspirated and turbo-petrol engines. Renault has confirmed that the new engine is hybrid-ready as well. The Bridger is expected to come loaded with features, including connected car technology, a large touchscreen, advanced software features, and a strong safety package. Its pricing will most likely start from around Rs 8 lakh ex-showroom.

Following the launch of the petrol-powered Bridger, Renault is expected to launch the Bridger EV. This will become the brand's first mainstream electric vehicle in India. The SUV will be based on the same RGMP architecture that has been designed from the beginning to support electric powertrains. Renault has not revealed battery or range details as yet.
The Bridger EV will likely focus on connected technology, OTA updates, software-based features, and a spacious cabin. It will compete with models such as the Tata Nexon.ev and future electric SUVs from Mahindra and Maruti Suzuki. Its prices are expected to be in the Rs 13-18 lakh ex-showroom range.

Renault has also confirmed that the Bridger will eventually get a strong hybrid version as well. This model is expected to be offered with a new 1.2-litre hybrid-ready petrol engine. It will come paired with an electric motor and a small battery pack. Once launched, it could become one of the most affordable hybrid SUVs in India.
The Bridger Hybrid will be targeted towards buyers who want excellent fuel efficiency but are not yet ready to switch to an EV. Like the standard Bridger, it will share the RGMP platform. Its launch is expected during 2027-28, and the Bridger Hybrid could be priced between Rs 12 lakh and Rs 17 lakh ex-showroom.
