The Tekton is a highly anticipated launch from Nissan. Set to arrive on July 9, 2026, it will be Nissan’s version of the new Duster. The company recently released a teaser announcing the launch date, officially. Based on the same, we have imagined the Tekton in multiple colour options.

We have imagined the Tekton in seven different colours- Black, Blue, White, Silver, Red, Yellow and Olive Green. All these go well with the muscular nature of the design. The Sandstorm Yellow really stands out. Even the Red and Blue are quite shouty. The body lines and creases are highlighted well.

Unlike other shades shown here, the Olive Green has a matte finish. It looks good on the SUV. White, Silver and Black also suit the design well. The actual colour palette of the SUV remains undisclosed. We are sure Nissan will offer it in striking shades.

The Tekton has an attractive design. It has enough cues to visually differentiate it from the new Duster. It has a tall, boxy stance and upright proportions. There is a sense of sophistication to the overall styling.
The Tekton will have an imposing grille design, inspired by Nissan’s global SUV models. The bonnet line is quite high and the headlamps are LED units. The LED DRLs feature a unique design and are connected by a light bar. The SUV will also have chunky side claddings and squared-off wheel arches. It will ride on 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. You will also notice strong shoulder lines.

Additionally, the Tekton will also get connected LED tail lights, an integrated roof spoiler, shark-fin antenna, muscular bumpers at the front and rear, and faux skid plates.

Nissan hasn’t revealed the interior of this mid-size SUV yet. From previous teasers, it looks like the cabin design will have Nissan’s styling cues in it. The dashboard layout may remain similar to that of the Duster. However, the Nissan SUV will have different trims highlighting the company’s craftsmanship. Overall material quality and finish are likely to be better than those of the Duster. The features will likely be shared with the Renault SUV.

If so, the Tekton will get features like a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, ventilated and powered front seats, dual-zone climate control, powered tailgate, fully digital driver’s display, 48-colour ambient lighting, six-speaker Arkamys premium audio, panoramic sunroof, wireless charging pad, 360-degree camera, level 2 ADAS and more.

The Tekton and Duster will be based on the same platform- Renault’s RGMP. The engines and transmissions will also be shared between the two. The mid-size SUV will be available with three engine options- 1.0l turbocharged petrol, 1.3L turbocharged petrol and a 1.8L strong hybrid petrol.
The 1.0L turbo-petrol will make 100hp and 166Nm. On the Duster, this engine is only offered with a six-speed manual transmission. The 1.3L turbo-petrol will be more powerful, making 160hp and 280Nm. It will be offered with a six-speed manual and a six-speed wet clutch DCT automatic sourced from AISIN.
The strong hybrid powertrain will use a 1.8L naturally aspirated petrol engine as its base. It will be based on two electric motors and a 1.4kWh lithium-ion battery pack. It will be capable of making 162 bhp and 172 Nm, and will come with a DHT automatic transmission.
