When it comes to full-size ladder-frame SUVs in India, the Toyota Fortuner is the undisputed champion in the segment. Both the first generation and the second generation of this SUV have been a hit in the country, and now the third generation Fortuner will be carrying on the legacy. Recently, based on the test mule spy shots of the upcoming Toyota Fortuner, a few renderings of how the upcoming Fortuner will look have been shared online.
The realistic renderings of the Toyota Fortuner third generation have been shared on Instagram by Malvin WS on their page. First, let's start talking about the front end design of the new generation Fortuner. We can note that the new fascia will not be as sharp as the present Fortuner; however, it will boast a bolder design which makes it look even more imposing.

The front fascia of the third generation Fortuner will consist of sleek headlights with C-shaped LED DRLs and reflector-based LED headlamps. Additionally, the front grille of this SUV has been moved below the line of the headlights and will now get Toyota lettering instead of the traditional Toyota logo in the centre.
Moving a bit below, we can observe that there will be a large honeycomb grille finished in black that will dominate the front fascia. As for the design of the front bumper, it will come equipped with two LED DRLs and L-shaped air vents. Another key element that can be seen in the render is the inclusion of ADAS sensors at the front.
Most likely, the new generation Fortuner will finally get this active safety feature. Additionally, we can observe that this SUV will also be getting a silver skid plate at the bottom, and there will be LED fog lights on either end as well.

Moving to the profile, the overall silhouette, design of the doors, and window line appear to be the same as the current generation model. The major difference on the sides will come from the set of bigger and newly designed alloy wheels. Like the current model, the standard 4X2 and 4X4 variants will get a different set of 17-inch and 18-inch alloy wheels, respectively.
As for the rear end design of the upcoming Toyota Fortuner, it can be noted that this SUV will boast a similar overall design as the current model. However, there will be some major differences. The new SUV will get a set of new LED taillights with a connecting light bar in the middle. The rear bumper of this SUV will also be new. Additionally, there will be a similar roof spoiler as the current model as well.

Coming to the interior of the new generation Toyota Fortuner, renderings based on the spy shots have revealed that it will be getting a fully redesigned cabin. The main highlight will be a large free-floating touchscreen infotainment system, and there will be a number of physical buttons for the dual-zone automatic climate control and media control in the middle.
The next generation Fortuner is expected to get a 12.3-inch driver’s display, a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, ADAS, OTA updates, a panoramic sunroof, front ventilated seats, powered seats, a premium audio system, and overall better and higher-quality materials along with better connected car tech.
Most likely, the new generation Toyota Fortuner will continue to get the same 2.7-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 2.8-litre turbocharged, four-cylinder diesel engine. There are reports that the company is working on the development of a 2.4-litre turbo petrol strong hybrid powertrain; however, whether it will be offered in India or not is currently unconfirmed.
