The Japanese automotive giant Toyota has finally brought the latest-generation Hilux pickup truck to India. We are saying this because, recently, a brand-new Toyota Hilux was spotted publicly without any camouflage. This vehicle was seen during the official TVC (Television Commercial) shoot. This suggests that the company will most likely launch the new-generation Hilux in India in a few weeks from now.

Toyota Hilux new-generation TVC shooting
A video showing the all-new generation of the Toyota Hilux on Indian roads was circulating on Instagram, which has since been taken down. The short clip shows a Sunglow (official color name of this new color for Hilux)-colored Hilux is driving on the road. Soon after this, the video shows this pickup truck parked in the middle of the road. This particular Hilux was seen without camouflage.
The Hilux spotted in India is the exact same as the new-generation model which has already been launched internationally. First off, let's talk about the design details of the new Hilux. This time around, Toyota has left no stone unturned and given the new Hilux a completely new exterior design. The entire front fascia is brand new, and its main highlights include its sharp-looking front fascia.
The upcoming Hilux will boast a set of much sleeker LED headlights with unique LED DRLs. Also, the standard Toyota logo has been replaced with Toyota lettering on the gloss-black front garnish plate. The main grille design is also very unique, as it now boasts a honeycomb pattern. This grille is not finished in matte or gloss black like the current-generation model; instead, it is finished in body color.

There are also two faux vents on the sides, and the lower part of the bumper gets a new design with black cladding and a silver skid plate. What is interesting to note is that, like the internationally sold model, the new Hilux, which will be launched in India, will also be getting the same ADAS Level 2 radar on the front. Currently, this pickup truck is not offered with ADAS in India.
Moving to the side profile, the new Hilux will boast the same dual-cab, four-door setup. Like all generation upgrades, the new Hilux will also be getting a set of brand-new alloy wheels. They will measure 17 inches and will be finished in black. It will also get chunky side cladding as well. Now, although it has not been shown in the video, the new Hilux will get a brand-new rear-end design as well.

It will come equipped with a set of new L-shaped LED taillights, a new black sail panel on top of the truck bed, a shark-fin antenna, and a black-cladded rear bumper. Internationally sold new-generation Hilux models get a twin-exhaust setup as well. However, whether the same is offered in India or not has not been revealed. Overall, the new Hilux looks even more imposing, aggressive, and sharp than the current model, and it could become more popular in India.

This particular video does not show the interior of the new-generation Hilux. However, it has been noted that this pickup truck will now be getting a much more premium, modern, and tech-loaded dashboard layout. Its main highlight will be the 12.3-inch freestanding touchscreen infotainment system. Just underneath this new screen will be the air-conditioning vents and physical buttons for the dual-zone automatic climate control system.
The centre console has also been fully redesigned and will feature a rotary knob in the middle to select the drive modes and off-road terrain mode, along with 4X4 controls. The dashboard also boasts a new glovebox design, a new 10.25-inch digital instrument gauge cluster, and a new Land Cruiser Prado-like steering wheel with cruise control and buttons for infotainment.
Other notable highlights will include Level-2 ADAS, an auto-dimming IRVM, multiple driving modes, and traction modes. Also, it will get a powered rear window, leatherette upholstery, a large armrest in the middle, ventilated seats, powered front seats, and others.
Toyota will most likely continue to offer the new Hilux with the same 2.8-litre diesel engine as the current model. This time-tested engine will be capable of producing 200 bhp and 500 Nm of torque and will be offered with both manual and torque-converter automatic gearbox options. The launch of the new Hilux will most likely take place in the coming few months. As for the pricing, it could be priced in the range of Rs 29 lakh to Rs 37 lakh.
