
Over the last four months, we have seen the launches of a few electric cars. However, the real fun will begin in the coming months and, more importantly, in the second half of this year. Now, if you are interested in knowing which new electric cars will be launched in the remaining months of 2026, then you have come to the right spot.

Toyota is gearing up for the launch of its first electric product in India, the Urban Cruiser Ebella. This electric SUV, which is the badge-engineered version of the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, will most likely be launched this month. It will feature simpler Toyota-specific styling and will retain interior elements of the e Vitara.
Battery pack options will remain the same, with 49 kWh and 61 kWh units, which will offer a real-world range of around 440 km and 543 km, respectively. As for its pricing, it will be in the range of Rs 18 lakh to Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom).

One of the most anticipated EVs this year is the Tata Sierra.ev. The electric version of the Sierra mid-size SUV will boast a similar design to the ICE version. However, it will be getting some EV-specific elements such as a closed grille, new alloys, and new badging.
It is expected to come with 55 kWh and 65 kWh battery packs. There is also a possibility that it could get a dual-motor AWD setup. As for the range, it will likely be around 450 to 550 km. Its launch will take place on May 19, and its pricing will be around Rs 16 lakh to Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom).

Along with the launch of the Sierra.ev, Tata Motors will also be launching its flagship electric SUV the Safari.ev in India. It will the brands first 7-seater EV SUV and will be launched on May 19. The Safari.ev will be based on the Harrier.EV’s Acti.EV+ platform. It is likely to borrow the battery packs from the electric Harrier- 65kWh and 75 kWh and there could also be an 85 kWh variant as well. Pricing will be around Rs 22.5 lakh-30 lakh.

Tata Motors is also gearing up for the launch of the updated version of its entry-level EV hatchback, the Tiago.ev, with a mid-cycle facelift. Its changes will include revised styling, new features, and a refreshed cabin.
Mechanically, it is expected to remain the same as the current model. This update will help it stay competitive in the budget EV segment. Pricing will also remain near the same, at Rs 8 lakh to Rs 11 lakh. Most likely, it will be launched in a couple of months.

The South Korean carmaker Kia will soon be launching its most affordable electric EV in India, and it will be none other than the electric version of the Syros sub-compact SUV. Over the last few months, a number of test mules of this SUV have been spotted, and it has been noted that it will look very similar to the ICE version.
This boxy EV SUV is expected to come with 42 kWh and 49 kWh battery packs, which will offer a range of around 300 to 350 km. It will most likely be making its debut in the coming months. As for the pricing, it will most likely be between Rs 15 lakh and Rs 18 lakh.

After seeing mild success in the Indian electric vehicle market, the Vietnamese carmaker VinFast will be launching its VF3, a compact city-focused EV. This tiny EV will feature a boxy design and target urban buyers. It is expected to come equipped with a small battery pack, which will offer a range of around 250 to 300 km. Its pricing is expected to be between Rs 8 lakh and Rs 10 lakh, and its launch is expected to take place in the next few months.

The VF5 will sit above the VF3 and will look very similar to the VF6. It will boast a crossover design and better space. As per reports, the battery pack options will include a 29 to 37 kWh range. The VF5 will be aimed at small families looking for an affordable EV and people looking to buy an EV for city commutes. Its launch is expected to take place later this year. As for the pricing, it will most likely be in the range of Rs 10 lakh to Rs 14 lakh.

VinFast recently launched the VF MPV 7 in India, and now it will be introducing the Limo Green. This will be based on the same model but will be a 7-seater electric MPV for fleet operators. It will be less feature-loaded but will get the same 60 kWh battery pack and offer a real-world range of around 450 km. Its launch will most likely take place in the coming months.

The Chinese carmaker BYD will also soon launch its new and more affordable EV SUV, the Atto 2, in India. It will be positioned below the Atto 3 and will offer 45.1 kWh and 51.1 kWh battery options. The maximum driving range will be around 410 km. It will come with a premium cabin, a large touchscreen, and ADAS features. The Atto 2’s launch is expected to take place in 2026, and it will be priced in the range of Rs 20 lakh to Rs 25 lakh.

Mahindra is gearing up to expand its BE lineup with the launch of the BE 07 EV SUV. It will be a mid-size electric SUV based on the INGLO platform. It is expected to offer multiple battery options, including 59 kWh, 70 kWh, and 79 kWh. It will be larger and more premium than many rivals. Reportedly, its launch is expected to take place towards the end of 2026.

Mahindra launched its seven-seater EV SUV, the XEV 9S, with a 70 kWh battery pack, which slots in between the 59 kWh and 79 kWh batteries. Now, the same 70 kWh battery pack option will be offered with the BE 6 electric SUV. It will provide a real-world driving range of over 600 km and will be offered with an electric motor making 231 bhp and 380 Nm of torque. Its launch will most likely take place around the festive season.

Mahindra will also introduce the new 70 kWh battery variant for the XEV 9E as well. Like the XEV 9S and the upcoming BE 6, it will also offer a 600 km claimed range. This battery pack option will help in bridging the gap between the two battery pack options that are currently on sale. This model will be launched alongside the BE 6 70 kWh later this year.

MG will soon be replacing the aging ZS EV with the new S5 EV in India. It will offer improved design, features, and performance. As for the battery pack options, it is expected to get 49 kWh and 64 kWh units, with a maximum real-world range of up to 480 km. It will also feature a rear-wheel-drive setup. Its launch is expected to take place towards the end of this year, and pricing will be in the range of Rs 22 lakh to Rs 30 lakh.
