The craze for SUVs is going through the roof, and Maruti Suzuki, which is the country's largest automaker, is now planning to refresh its SUV lineup. The company is gearing up for the launch of a few facelifts and a few new SUVs to ensure that it continues to dominate the market. So, without any delay, here are the details of upcoming Maruti Suzuki SUVs in sequence.

The first SUV that will be launched in the coming weeks will be the Maruti Suzuki Brezza facelift. Over the last few months, a few different test mules of this SUV have been spotted testing on public roads. It has been reported that it most likely will be launched either this quarter or early next quarter.
In terms of design, the facelift will not be getting any major design overhaul. Its overall silhouette will remain largely unchanged. However, Maruti Suzuki will revise the bumpers and add new fog lamp housings. The SUV will also get a fresh set of alloy wheels. The headlamps and tail lamps on the test mules appear similar to the outgoing model.
It has been noted that the cabin will receive minor noticeable updates. The Brezza facelift is expected to feature a larger touchscreen infotainment system, which will be borrowed from the Maruti Suzuki Victoris. It could also get an updated instrument cluster, front ventilated seats, wireless charging, and ambient lighting.
The biggest change, which is expected, will be under the bonnet. Currently, the Brezza comes offered with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, which makes 103 PS and 139 Nm. Also, there is a CNG version on sale as well. However, reports have suggested that Maruti Suzuki could now offer it with the 1.0-litre turbo Boosterjet petrol motor from the Fronx.
This will help the SUV qualify for the lower 18 percent GST slab instead of the current 40 percent slab applicable due to the 1.5-litre engine. It could also get a 6-speed manual gearbox, and the CNG version could get an underbody CNG tank as well. The current Brezza is priced between Rs 8.25 lakh and Rs 13.01 lakh, ex-showroom. However, the facelifted version will see a slight price increase.

The Fronx crossover SUV has quickly become one of Maruti Suzuki’s hottest-selling products since its launch in 2023. The company is now preparing a major mid-life update for the crossover. In the last few months, the facelifted Fronx test mules have already been spotted testing multiple times in India.
It has been noted that the updated model is expected to receive revised front and rear bumpers, updated LED headlights and taillights, and new alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, the Fronx facelift is expected to become even more feature-loaded. It could get ventilated seats, a larger infotainment screen, and Level 2 ADAS.
However, the biggest highlight will be the new strong hybrid powertrain. Previous test mules were seen with a “Hybrid” badge, roof-mounted sensors, and LIDAR units, which have confirmed that it will be getting both hybrid technology and ADAS features.
The new Fronx Hybrid is expected to come offered with a series hybrid setup. In this system, the petrol engine acts only as a generator, and the electric motor drives the wheels. The SUV will reportedly use the 1.2-litre Z12E petrol engine as its base. As per the reports, the Fronx series hybrid could offer a mileage of around 35 kmpl, which will make it the most fuel-efficient car in India.

Apart from the hybrid version, Maruti Suzuki is also working on a flex-fuel Fronx capable of handling E85 fuel blends. There are also reports that some of the variants could also get AWD. Most likely, it will be launched around the festive season of this year in the price range of Rs 8 to 15 lakh.

Maruti Suzuki launched the Grand Vitara in 2022, and since then, the SUV has only received minor updates. Now, the company is preparing to launch a major facelift to keep it competitive in the mid-size SUV segment. The updated Grand Vitara is expected to launch around the festive season. Its exterior updates will likely include a redesigned grille, revised bumpers, updated LED lighting signatures, and new 17-inch alloy wheels.
On the inside, the SUV is expected to receive a larger 10.1-inch infotainment system and a fully digital instrument cluster. The facelift could also get Level 2 ADAS features, including adaptive cruise control and autonomous emergency braking. Mechanically, the SUV is expected to remain unchanged. It will continue with the 1.5-litre mild hybrid petrol engine, strong hybrid setup, and CNG options.

Maruti Suzuki is also working on the development of an all-new flagship 7-seater SUV based on the Grand Vitara. Internally, it has been codenamed the Y17, and this SUV has already been spotted testing in India. When compared to the standard Grand Vitara, this SUV will offer a longer wheelbase and a stretched rear section to accommodate the third-row seats.
It is also expected to feature a more upright rear profile for better third-row headroom. Its feature highlights could include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, wireless charger, 360-degree camera, heads-up display, and a complete Level 2 ADAS suite. Six airbags are also expected to be standard.
Powertrain options will most likely remain the same as the Grand Vitara, including the mild hybrid and strong hybrid petrol engines. Once launched, this SUV will rival models like the Tata Safari and Mahindra XUV 7XO and will be priced in the range of Rs 18 to 25 lakh. Its launch is expected around the Diwali festive season or by the end of 2026.
