Maruti Suzuki is one of the largest car manufacturers in India. Like most brands, Maruti is also working on electric vehicles, and in this journey, Toyota is partnering with them. Both brands are working together as part of their partnership. Here we have a list of EVs that Maruti and Toyota will be launching in the Indian market soon.

This is going to be Maruti’s first electric 7-seater MPV. It is internally known as the YMC and is based on the same platform as the eVitara. Maruti is currently testing the eMPV, and it is expected to launch by the end of 2026.
The YMC concept is expected to be a larger MPV that will compete with the likes of the Kia Carens Clavis and Mahindra XEV 9S in the segment. The MPV is expected to come with features like a large touchscreen, a spacious cabin, captain seats, a 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS, wireless charging, ventilated seats, powered seats, connected-car technology, and a panoramic or fixed glass roof.
We expect the YMC MPV to come with a front-mounted electric motor and the same battery-pack options as the eVitara. The 49 kWh battery pack is expected to offer a claimed range of around 440 km, while the larger 61 kWh battery variant may deliver up to 543 km of range.

Once Maruti launches the production version of the YMC MPV, Toyota’s version of the same electric MPV is also expected to arrive in the market. Mechanically, the MPV will remain the same and will come with a similar feature list. However, the exterior design of both MPVs is expected to be different in order to maintain brand identity.

Maruti recently discontinued the Ignis from the market. After this, we came across reports of Maruti working on another SUV. It is actually a micro SUV that will replace the Ignis hatchback. It is internally known by the codename Y43, and it is expected to compete with the likes of the Tata Punch and Hyundai Exter in the segment.
It will sit below the Brezza and Fronx and is likely to be sold via Nexa dealerships. The Y43 could use the same 1.2-litre, three-cylinder Z12E petrol engine. This engine is offered with manual and AMT gearbox options.
