Maruti Suzuki has taken a long time to put its feet in the electric vehicle market of India. However, despite being late to the party, it has entered with a bang. The company has launched the eVitara electric SUV with a starting price of Rs 15.99 lakh (with the battery pack included). But what makes it banging is that, without the battery pack included, or with the Battery As A Service (BaaS) program, the same model starts at Rs 10.99 lakh. And recently, a detailed walkaround of the eVitara-based Delta variant has been shared online.
This detailed walkaround video of the Maruti Suzuki eVitara Delta variant has been shared on YouTube by Autodaily Satyam on their channel. It starts off with the presenter mentioning the pricing of the Maruti Suzuki base Delta variant, with and without the battery pack included. He states that the base variant, which is only offered with the 49.9 kWh battery pack, is priced at Rs 10.99 lakh (BaaS) and Rs 15.99 lakh (with battery).
Next, he adds that with the Battery As A Service program, buyers will have to pay a Rs 3.99 per km battery rental charge to Maruti Suzuki. Soon after this introduction, he starts the detailed walkaround of the eVitara and mentions that it gets the same standard remote key as other Maruti Suzuki models. He then shows the front fascia of this SUV.

The presenter highlights that, despite being the base Delta variant, the eVitara still comes offered with the same LED projector headlights and Y-shaped LED DRLs and turn indicators as the Zeta and Alpha variants. Next, he adds that the front bumper design is also the same and gets four front parking sensors as well. What it misses out on is the front camera and ADAS Level 2 sensor, which the top-of-the-line trim comes with.

Next, he shows the lower front grille of the SUV and mentions that it comes equipped with active aero flaps, which can open and close depending upon the cooling required by the vehicle. The vlogger then shows the side profile of this SUV and highlights that even the base Delta variant gets the same 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, which come offered with aero blade-style covers.
Apart from these, he mentions that all four wheels get disc brakes and squared-off wheel arches. Other notable highlights include auto-folding ORVMs with LED turn indicators, cladding on the doors, a charging port on the front left fender, and rear hidden door handles. Soon after, the vlogger starts showing the rear end of the e Vitara.

At the rear, this electric SUV gets the same Y-shaped LED taillights with clear glass. It also comes with four parking sensors, a rear window wiper, washer and defogger setup, and a shark fin antenna. Being the base trim, it misses out on a rear-view camera. As for the boot space, the eVitara gets a 310-litre boot, which can be expanded to 560 litres with the second row folded down.
After showing the exterior design, the vlogger then shows the cabin of the eVitara base Delta variant. He mentions that it gets the same 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 10.1-inch digital instrument gauge cluster, physical buttons for automatic climate control, a rotary drive mode selector, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, snow mode, regenerative braking modes, and driving modes.

The Delta variant misses out on premium features such as leatherette upholstery and gets fabric instead. It also does not get powered and ventilated front seats, a 6-speaker Infinity audio system, or an electric sunroof. Overall, the cabin does not feel cheap despite being the base variant.
Powering the eVitara Delta variant is the same front-mounted electric motor, which makes 144 bhp and 193 Nm of torque. As for the battery pack, it gets the 49.9 kWh unit, offering a range of 440 km as per the company.
