Maruti Suzuki has been testing the Brezza facelift on Indian roads for a very long time now. The SUV has been spotted on our roads multiple times, and we also have an idea of what to expect from the upcoming facelift. It looks like Maruti Suzuki is almost ready with the Brezza facelift, as an undisguised image of the upcoming SUV has now surfaced online. Here’s what to expect from the upcoming Brezza facelift.

The exterior of the Maruti Brezza SUV is expected to remain largely the same as the current version. The SUV will come with a revised front grille, headlamps, and bumper. The images that have surfaced online show new alloy wheels and a new grey-coloured garnish on the lower part of the doors.
It looks like the SUV is expected to be offered in the same colour options as the existing model. The rear bumper of the SUV is also expected to receive revisions, and we are likely to see minor tweaks to the tail lamps as well.

Just like the exterior, we expect to see changes in the cabin too. While the overall layout of the cabin is expected to remain the same, Maruti will offer an updated 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It is expected to be the same unit that we saw in the Maruti Victoris SUV.
Along with this, we also expect to see features like ventilated seats, fabric upholstery, a head-up display (HUD), automatic climate control, an electric sunroof, a wireless phone charger, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, rear AC vents, a 360-degree camera, a semi-digital instrument cluster, and more.

Under the bonnet, things are expected to change too. The current version of the Brezza is offered with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
However, as part of the update, Maruti Suzuki is expected to offer a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. This is expected to be the same engine seen in the Fronx. The Brezza facelift is also expected to come with a 6-speed manual transmission.
This smaller engine could allow the SUV to qualify for a lower 18 percent GST rate instead of the current 40 percent rate.
However, it remains to be seen whether Maruti will be able to price the Brezza Turbo aggressively, as the turbo-petrol engine is much more expensive to manufacture than the existing naturally aspirated unit.

Maruti Suzuki is also expected to offer the Brezza with a CNG option. Just like the Victoris that was launched last year, the Brezza is likely to come with an underbody CNG tank, which would free up a lot of space in the boot.
With images of the almost production-ready Brezza facelift now out, Maruti Suzuki is expected to launch the SUV in the market soon. Prices for the current version of the Brezza start at Rs 8.26 lakh, ex-showroom, and go all the way up to Rs 13.01 lakh. It remains to be seen whether Maruti Suzuki will be able to price the turbo-petrol version aggressively despite the potential tax benefits.
