Mahindra & Mahindra is currently working on several new models across both ICE and EV segments. One of the SUVs that has been frequently spotted on Indian roads during testing is the production version of the Mahindra Vision S concept. Based on the images and videos circulating online, we already have a fair idea of how the SUV might look when it reaches production. Here we have a digitally rendered image that shows what the upcoming Vision S–based SUV could look like.
The video has been shared by SRK Designs on his YouTube channel. In the video, we see a digital render of the SUV created using design cues from the test mules that have been spotted online. The render shows a boxy-looking SUV with a large grille. The grille features Mahindra’s signature vertical slats along with the brand’s logo.
Interestingly, the round headlamps appear to be integrated into the grille housing. In the render, these are round projector LED units with dual-function LED DRLs surrounding them.
At the front, the SUV gets an upright design with a muscular bumper, faux skid plates, and fog lamps positioned at the bottom.

Looking at the side profile, the render shows thick, flared cladding around the wheel arches, which adds a rugged character to the SUV. The alloy wheel design is also unique and unlike anything currently seen on Mahindra models. The window line runs straight with a small kink after the rear door, making the quarter panel appear slightly smaller. Roof rails and a shark-fin antenna are also visible, which are common in modern SUVs in this segment.
Since this is expected to be a sub-4-metre SUV, the rear design appears almost vertical. The render also shows a spare wheel mounted on the tailgate and distinctive 7-shaped LED tail lamps. The rear bumper continues with thick black cladding, along with faux skid plates and a reverse lamp integrated into the bumper.
A character line inspired by the Land Rover Defender can also be seen on the rear fender in the render.
The Vision S is expected to be a sub-4-metre SUV based on Mahindra’s new NU-IQ platform. This platform is a modular and flexible multi-energy architecture designed to support a new generation of SUVs from the brand. The Vision S-based model is likely to be the first vehicle built on this new platform.
It is important to note that the images shown here are purely digital renders and are based on information available to the artist from spy shots and test vehicles. The actual production version of the SUV could look quite different once it is officially revealed.
Inside the cabin, the upcoming Mahindra SUV is expected to offer a premium interior as it will compete in the highly competitive sub-4-metre SUV segment against rivals like the Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet. We can expect features such as a large touchscreen infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, physical buttons for AC and other controls, and a fully digital instrument cluster.
In terms of powertrain options, the SUV is expected to be offered with both petrol and diesel engines. The petrol version could use a 1.2-litre turbocharged engine with manual and automatic transmission options, while the diesel version may come with a 1.5-litre turbocharged unit. Both engines are likely to be borrowed from the Mahindra XUV 3XO.
