Mahindra’s ‘Electric Origin’ family of EVs now has broad product lines- XEV and BE. The BE range now consists of two products- BE6 and BE6 FE. The company is now gearing up to add a third model to the BE family. This will be the production form of the BE07 electric SUV. It will be the sixth model to be based on the INGLO platform. Here is everything we know about it yet.

The BE.07 was first shown as a concept in 2022. That was also the time when the INGLO platform was first announced. The production form of this is known to be internally referred to as BO7. Test mules were spotted in public shortly after Mahindra announced the product officially at its third quarter FY26 (Q3) analyst call.
These sightings initially hinted at the production version remaining faithful to the concept with its design. A closer inspection, however, showed that it may have softer cues. The lighting, in particular, showed a sharp difference. The concept had sharp C-shaped LED DRLs. The mule, on the other hand, had a more practical design for its LED headlamps and DRLs. This toning down, we believe, has been done to facilitate smoother, hassle-free production.
The test mule had a stepped-up front bumper with sleek air vents, a closed-off grille section, steep rake for the front windshield, 19-inch aero-efficient wheels, side step integrated into the larger design, flush-type door handles, and a well-designed rear quarter section with a sharp rake for the rear windshield. The electric SUV will also feature large window areas. The production model is expected to get sleek, connected LED tail lights as well. It is expected to officially go on sale in India in 2027.

The BE07 concept was 4,565 mm long, 1,900 mm wide and 1660 mm tall. It had a wheelbase of 2775 mm. We lack clarity on the actual dimensions of the production model. However, from what can be seen in the spy images, the production form appears to be significantly larger than the BE6.
In Mahindra’s lineup, it will be a five-seater positioned between the BE6 and the upcoming BE09. The BE6 is, in fact, a mid-size SUV while the BE09 will likely be a much larger electric three-row SUV belonging to the BE family.

Though the spy sighting did not reveal it, the production-spec BE07 is expected to come with a modern, technology-rich interior. The overall cabin design is likely to stay close to that of the 2022 concept. The final form will likely come with a triple-screen setup. At present, only the XEV 9e and 9S get triple screens.
The BE 07 is also expected to share much of its equipment array with other Electric Origin models. A bunch of new features are also likely to be introduced. The concept had an elegant low-set dashboard design, floating drive mode buttons, a dedicated place to keep the key and other details. It remains unclear as to how many of these would make it to production.
Mahindra’s in-house developed INGLO platform will form the base of the production-spec BE07 as well. This is a high-voltage modular skateboard platform capable of supporting different top hats. The BE07 is expected to borrow its battery packs from the existing ‘Electric Origin’ models. If so, it could come with three battery options- 59kWh, 70kWh and 79kWh. The most powerful variant is likely to make around 228hp and 380Nm.
