Kia, in a very short span of time, has become one of the most popular brands among buyers in India. Interesting products, along with aggressive pricing and feature-rich offerings, are some of the key reasons behind the brand’s success. Over the years, the company has been making changes to its plans to keep up with market trends.
Kia started 2026 by launching the new generation of its most popular SUV, the Seltos. Apart from this, here is a list of four Kia SUVs that are set to launch in our market soon.
Kia launched the Syros last year, and it is currently one of the least popular models in its lineup. The company has been working on an electric version of the Syros for quite some time, and it looks like Kia will launch the Syros EV in the second quarter of 2026.

The Syros EV has been spotted testing multiple times, and it appears that Kia will retain a design similar to the ICE version. However, it is expected to feature a closed grille, a revised bumper, new EV-specific wheels, and minor changes to both the exterior and interior.
The SUV is expected to be offered with 42 kWh and 49 kWh battery options, with a claimed range of just over 400 km.
Kia is also planning to enter the seven-seater SUV segment, and it aims to do so with the Sorento. Like most Kia products, the Sorento will come loaded with premium features such as a large touchscreen, a digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, ADAS, and several other modern comfort features.

The Sorento is already available internationally and is expected to retain its global design, which includes the signature tiger-face grille, vertically stacked LED headlamps, and a sharp front bumper. It will also get large 19-inch alloy wheels, LED tail lamps, and more.
What makes the Sorento special is its powertrain. It is expected to be the first Kia SUV in India to come with a hybrid petrol engine. However, it will not use the same hybrid system available internationally. Instead, Kia is likely to introduce a new hybrid system based on a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. The Sorento is expected to be launched by the end of 2026.
Apart from the existing variants, Kia may introduce two new top-end variants of the new-generation Seltos. One is likely to be the GTX+, and the other could be the X Line (O) or X Line+ variant.

Both these variants are expected to come with cosmetic enhancements and may also offer variant-specific accessories such as a dashcam and additional features. There is also a possibility that Kia might introduce more Level 2 ADAS features, including enhanced semi-autonomous driving capabilities.
Both variants are expected to be offered with the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options. These new variants are likely to be launched during the festive season this year.
After the Sorento, the Seltos is expected to receive hybrid technology as well. However, Kia may have to wait until the next-generation Hyundai Creta is launched next year, as it is expected to debut the new hybrid petrol engine first.

This will likely be the same hybrid system that will also power the Sorento. Once the new Creta is introduced, Kia is expected to bring the same hybrid technology to the Seltos. The Seltos Hybrid is likely to be launched in the first half of 2027.
