Kia launched its electric MPV, the Carens Clavis EV, in the market last year. Kia has now introduced the 2026 edition of the Carens Clavis EV, and it comes with new trims and refreshed design elements as part of the update. The Kia Carens Clavis EV now gets new GT Line and X Line variants, with the extended-range variants expanding the lineup. As part of this update, Kia is also offering a 6-seat configuration with the Carens Clavis EV, along with the 7-seater version.

Commenting on the MY26 introduction, Mr. Atul Sood, Senior Vice-President, Sales & Marketing, Kia India, said, “The Carens Clavis EV was developed to make electric mobility practical and relevant for everyday use. As more customers transition to EVs, their expectations are evolving beyond technology to include greater comfort, flexible seating, and distinctive design. The MY26 reflects this feedback with new trims and a 6-seater configuration that enhances comfort and versatility while retaining the practicality Indian customers value.”
Kia has introduced new GT Line and X Line trims. The GT Line gets GTX and GTX+ variants. This adds a sportier character to the MPV, with distinct styling elements like new alloy wheels, lime brake calipers, and metal pedals. The price for the GTX variant is Rs 22.99 lakh, and the GTX+ is priced at Rs 24.99 lakh for both 6- and 7-seater versions.
The X Line variant, as usual, is available in a matte finish and comes with a darker, more rugged-looking theme. It gets an exclusive Dark Gun Metal exterior colour along with Aurora Black Pearl. The price for the X Line variant is also Rs 24.99 lakh, ex-showroom. Both GT Line and X Line variants are offered with Digital Key and battery heater technology.

The Standard Range (smaller battery pack) variants are also offered with newly designed 16-inch black high-gloss aero alloy wheels.
The MY26 Kia Carens Clavis EV, as mentioned above, is also offered with a new 6-seater configuration featuring second-row captain seats. It is available across select trims, including HTX (E), HTX, HTX+, GTX, GTX+, and X Line. The captain seats give the cabin a more premium and upmarket feel, especially when you are being driven around. The 7-seater variants are also available for those who prioritise practicality over comfort.
