JSW Group is planning to bring in a number of new and very exciting products to the Indian automotive market after witnessing the success of the MG Windsor EV. For this, it has joined hands with the Chinese automaker Chery, which has a number of sub-brands under its portfolio. Now, recently, a few images showing the second electric vehicle from JSW Group, the Jaecoo J5 with full body camouflage, have been shared online.
From the spy shots, we can only get a look at the rear end and a small glimpse of the side profile. It can be noted that the shape of this particular test mule is very similar to the internationally available Jaecoo J5. We can note a slightly tapered-off rear-end shape with an integrated spoiler and sleek LED taillights. Overall, the shape is boxy and looks very premium.

For those who may not be aware, JSW Group, which owns a majority stake in the Chinese-British automaker MG, is planning to launch JSW Motors in India, which will be a separate company. Under this company, JSW Group will be launching a number of new vehicles, including electric SUVs, hybrid vehicles, and others.
Jaecoo is one of the brands under Chery Automobile that focuses on premium SUVs, and its latest product is the J5 electric SUV. This EV SUV from Jaecoo will be the second electric SUV in India from JSW Motors, as the first one will be the Chery iCar V23 retro-styled EV SUV.

Coming to the details of the Jaecoo J5 EV, which will be launched by JSW Motors, this premium SUV boasts a design inspired by a number of European and British SUVs, particularly Range Rover. At the front, the Jaecoo J5 EV boasts a very simple, elegant, and futuristic fascia. It gets a set of sleek projector-based LED headlights with dual LED DRLs on top and bottom and a closed-off grille with Jaecoo lettering in the middle.

Moving to the side profile, the Jaecoo J5 gets a very clean and imposing silhouette with a strong shoulder line and a design very similar to that of Range Rover SUVs. The main highlights are the aero-efficient dual-tone 18-inch alloy wheels. As for the rear, it gets a sloping roofline similar to that of the Range Rover Evoque and Velar, an integrated spoiler, thin LED taillights, and a simple rear bumper with a skid plate.

On the inside, the Jaecoo J5 EV SUV will come loaded with a very premium and functional dashboard layout and premium materials. Its main highlight will be a 13.2-inch vertical touchscreen and a 10.25-inch digital instrument gauge cluster. It will also come loaded with premium features, including ventilated and powered front seats, a panoramic sunroof, multi-zone automatic climate control, and many others.

Internationally, the Jaecoo J5 EV is offered with a front-mounted electric motor which is capable of producing 211 PS of power and 288 Nm of torque. The 0–100 kmph sprint in this SUV takes place in just 7.7 seconds, and it can reach a top speed of 175 kmph. Most likely, the JSW Motors Jaecoo J5 EV will be making its debut in 2027 in the price range of Rs 18–25 lakh.
