Hyundai is preparing for an aggressive launch spree- as many as 26 launches by 2030. Two of the products in pipeline have now been spied testing together- the Verna facelift and Exter facelift. A video shared on YouTube shows the two driving together, along a highway. Both cars are partially camouflaged, giving us clear clues of the areas which will be redesigned on the new models.
The video opens by showing both the vehicles driving together. We get to see the rear views initially. The rear ends of both cars have some camouflage on them. They are both seen driving on the right lane of the highway.
Since these cars have partial camouflage, it is clear that these facelifts will not give them full design overhauls. The front fascias and rear ends, in both cases, will be restyled. The Verna appears to have front and rear parking sensors. Since it is moving fast, it is tough to confirm the same.

The current generation Verna was launched in India in 2023. It has a polarising design. The update is expected to address the same. Going by the spy video, changes at the rear will include tweaked tail lamps, restyled bumper, and may be even minor sheet metal changes on the rear hatch.
The front fascia will see more notable improvements. Expect a new front bumper, redesigned grille, improved headlamp design and more. The car may also get a new set of alloy wheels, finished in Black. Except for these, the silhouette remains more or less unchanged.
The front end styling of the facelifted Verna will reportedly have a strong influence of the 8th generation Sonata’s styling. The camouflage on the mule makes it difficult for us to confirm the same,. One thing is clear: the new Verna’s face will look a lot different from that of the outgoing model, and that should address the concerns of many.

In addition to these changes, the facelifted sedan is also expected to see improvements in its cabin design, interior colours and trims and feature list. Previous spy sightings have confirmed that the new model will get Hyundai’s new-age steering wheel design with the ‘Four Dots’ (Morse code) logo and a large curvilnear display. The outgoing model has two 10.25-inch screens, which are likely to be replaced with larger ones on the facelift.
The facelift is expected to retain the current model’s engine duo- 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.5L turbocharged petrol. The former makes 115 PS and 143 Nm while the latter is capable of producing 160 PS and 253Nm. Additionally, Hyundai may also add a new 1.5L strong hybrid petrol powertrain to the lineup, the details of which remain sparse at the time of writing. Expect this sedan to launch in the first half of this year.

The Exter Facelift seen in this video also has its front and rear ends covered. The front fascia is likely to feature a restyled grille section, tweaked bumpers and may be even a slightly redesigned headlamps. Previous reports had suggested that the carmaker might tie the new Exter’s design close to that of the second-generation Venue with the update. It remains unclear if the changes are that big. Even in this case, the side profile remains unchanged.

The biggest changes on the new Exter will be in its cabin experience. It will get bigger screens and a better connectivity suite. The new Exter will come with Hyundai’s next-gen infotainment system that suns on Android Automotive OS. This will facilitate enabling more apps and smoother connected features. Other features like ventilated front seats may also be added to the new micro-SUV.
