Hyundai India recently launched the Exter micro-SUV’s facelifted iteration. As part of this facelift, a number of changes have been made to the Exter, and recently a video showing the base HX2 variant of this SUV has been shared online. The presenter shows all the exterior and interior changes on this particular entry-level variant of the Exter facelift.
This detailed walkaround video of the Hyundai Exter facelift has been shared on YouTube by Team Auto Trend on their channel. It starts off by mentioning that the HX2 base variant of the Hyundai Exter starts at Rs 5.79 lakh for the 1.2-litre engine with the manual gearbox. Meanwhile, the price for the HX2 Hy-CNG Duo tech-equipped Exter is Rs 6.99 lakh. Both of these prices are ex-showroom prices.

Following the introduction and pricing, the presenter starts talking about the engine of the Exter facelift. This time around as well, the Exter gets the same 1.2-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated Kappa petrol engine. It is capable of making 83 PS of power and 113 Nm of torque.
As for the gearbox, it comes equipped with a 5-speed manual gearbox. On the base HX2 variant, there is no availability of the AMT gearbox. This same engine is shared with other Hyundai models, including the i20, Grand i10 Nios, Aura, Venue, and also the Kia Sonet. It is a very refined engine.
Moving ahead, he then starts talking about the exterior design updates that are being offered with the Hyundai Exter facelift. Starting at the front, he mentions that the main highlight is the new front grille. It is now much larger than before and boasts the same rectangular pattern which other Hyundai models have been given. On the base HX2 variant, this grille is finished in matte black.

However, on the variants above it, the same is finished in gloss black, adding a premium touch. Apart from the grille, the base variant does not come offered with any LED lighting elements on the front. The H-shaped element on the top is offered as LED DRLs on other higher variants, but in this variant they are non-illuminated. It also gets halogen headlights and halogen turn indicators.
Other notable changes on the front include the new bumper, which also gets a brushed champagne-colored metal-like element, which adds a slightly premium touch. Soon after this, the vlogger then moves to the side of this SUV. He mentions that the base variant does not come offered with any major changes except for the addition of the champagne gold metal rails on the lower portion of the doors.

The chunky claddings, black ORVMs, and door handles remain the same as the previous base variant Exter. The SUV still gets the same 14-inch silver steel wheels. Moving to the rear, there are no major changes except for the rear bumper, which also gets the same new brushed metal element and the black connecting element between the two taillights. Apart from these, the LED taillights remain the same.

Moving inside the cabin, the base HX2 variant of this SUV only gets a few changes. Of these, the main change is the new D-cut steering wheel and new fabric upholstery. The overall theme of the cabin is black and grey. Being the base variant, it also only gets front two power windows. Other notable highlights include manually adjustable ORVMs, a digital instrument gauge cluster, and a new carbon fiber finish on the door pads, along with a new textured surface on the dashboard.
