
Currently, the Japanese automaker Honda Cars India has been coasting in the Indian automotive industry with its small lineup of cars. However, in the coming period, the company is planning to launch not one or two but a total of 5 new cars. Now, if you are someone who is a Honda enthusiast and wants to know the details of the upcoming Honda cars in India, then you have come to the right spot.

The first vehicle on the launch roster of Honda Cars India is the hybrid version of its popular mid-size SUV, the Elevate. It will become the first mass-market hybrid SUV in India from the brand and will use the 1.5-litre Atkinson-cycle petrol engine. It will be getting a new-gen hybrid system, which will come equipped with a more efficient motor and a lighter battery than the City Hybrid.
Other notable highlights will include minor exterior tweaks, possibly a set of new alloy designs and updated front and rear bumpers. Reportedly, it will be launched around the end of 2026. As for the pricing, it is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 16 to 20 lakh. The new Elevate Hybrid will take on the Maruti Suzuki Victoris, Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Kia Seltos, Tata Sierra, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and many others.

Next up in the lineup is the second facelift of the current-generation City. This new facelift will act as a bridge model until the next-gen, which is expected to arrive in 2028. This newly refreshed model will boast updated front and rear styling, new alloy wheels, and lighting tweaks. It will also get an interior upgrade with improved materials.
The current time-tested 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol will continue to be offered along with the strong hybrid (e:HEV) option, which comes equipped with an e-CVT gearbox. The facelifted iteration of the Honda City and Hybrid is expected to make its debut in the second half of this year. As for the pricing, it will be priced in the range of Rs 12–18 lakh.

Although late to the party, Honda is gearing up for the launch of its first electric SUV for India, the Honda 0 Alpha EV. It will be a made-in-India product, which will be sold globally. It is currently undergoing pan-India testing. The 0 Alpha EV SUV will boast futuristic styling, a boxy stance, LED lighting, and large alloy wheels.
This EV SUV is expected to offer two battery pack options of 65 kWh and 75 kWh, offering a maximum driving range of 450 to 500 km in real-world conditions. Currently, the vehicle is under performance testing across different conditions, including city traffic, highways, rough roads, and extreme weather conditions. Also, the charging compatibility across India is being tested.
The Honda 0 Alpha EV will be produced in a new facility, which is being built at the Tapukara plant, Rajasthan, with a Rs 1,200 crore investment. Its global debut will take place in 2027, and at the same time, it will be making its debut in India as well. Reportedly, it will be priced in the range of Rs 20 to 25 lakh.

Another SUV in the Honda lineup will be its premium SUV offering, the ZR-V. This SUV will be positioned as a brand builder and will not focus on volume. It will most likely be imported as a CBU (Completely Built Unit). The ZR-V will be powered by a 2.0-litre strong hybrid petrol powertrain.
This setup will be capable of making around 180 bhp, with an e-CVT automatic gearbox and an optional AWD system. It is expected to launch in the second half of 2026 with a starting price of Rs 50 lakh. Once launched, it will be taking on the Hyundai Tucson and the Volkswagen Tiguan.

Honda Cars India is planning to offer its iconic two-door coupe, the Prelude, in India. It will be the first modern Honda coupe in India and will be the brand’s halo product for enthusiasts. The Prelude will come powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine capable of making 200 bhp and will offer front-wheel drive.
Other notable highlights will include the S+ Shift system, a sporty low-slung stance, aggressive coupe styling, and it will share its DNA with the Civic Type-R. The launch is expected to take place this year with a price of around Rs 80 lakh.
