Honda today launched the 2026 version of one of India’s most loved sedans, the Honda City. The updated Honda City facelift has been launched at the same price as the older version. Prices for the Honda City now start at Rs 11.99 lakh, ex-showroom. Along with the Honda City, the Japanese carmaker also unveiled its upcoming premium SUV, the Honda ZR-V. After the official launch and unveiling, Honda has now released official TVCs for both models online.
The Honda City has been one of the longest-running nameplates in this segment in India. With the 2026 facelift, Honda, through this new TVC, has showcased all the changes made to the car.
We get to see the exterior, interior, and the features offered with the sedan. The exterior of the City sedan has been revised significantly. The front end now gets bi-projector LED headlamps with LED DRLs and a connected LED light bar.
The front grille is completely new and comes with gloss-black honeycomb inserts. The sedan also gets a sporty-looking front bumper with air curtains. It now comes with Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, and a LaneWatch assist camera mounted under the ORVMs.
Coming to the side profile, the sedan retains the same overall design as the older version. It gets request sensors and a sloping roofline. The alloy wheels are new 16-inch units finished in a gunmetal grey shade, which looks quite sporty.
At the rear, the sedan comes with clear-lens LED tail lamps, and we also get a sporty-looking bumper with diffuser-like elements.
The cabin is finished in a black-and-ivory dual-tone theme and comes with a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated front seats, an electric sunroof, automatic climate control, leatherette upholstery, and more.
The sedan continues with the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine offered with manual and CVT gearbox options, while the e:HEV or strong hybrid variant comes with an e-CVT transmission only.
Next is the TVC for the Honda ZR-V. Honda is marketing the ZR-V as a sporty hybrid SUV. The SUV has already been unveiled, while the official price announcement is expected to happen in the coming months. Since this is a CBU model, it is expected to be positioned as a premium SUV.
The TVC showcases the exterior design and interior features of the upcoming SUV. The ZR-V gets a crossover-like exterior design with a large front grille, premium-looking bumpers, LED tail lamps, and 18-inch machine-cut alloy wheels.
Honda is offering the ZR-V with several high-end features like a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Honda Sensing ADAS, a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system, multi-zone climate control, and more.
The SUV will compete with rivals like the Skoda Kodiaq and Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line.
The SUV is powered by a 2.0-litre direct-injection strong-hybrid engine that generates 184 PS and 315 Nm of torque. This advanced high-performance hybrid powertrain has been introduced in India for the first time.
The engine promises strong performance without compromising on efficiency. The ZR-V can sprint from 0–100 km/h in just 7.9 seconds and has a claimed fuel efficiency of 22.8 km/l.
