
Honda just launched updated City sedan in the Indian market. The sedan has been one of the most popular sedan in the segment. The car has started reaching dealerships. Price for the City facelift sedan starts at Rs 12 lakh, ex-showroom to Rs 21 lakh, ex-showroom. We have already seen several videos of the higher variants of the Honda City sedan. The lower variants of the City have started reaching dealerships and here we have a video that shows what the base SV variant of the City sedan looks like.
The video has been shared by Auto Analyzer on their YouTube channel. The vlogger shows what the base variant of the sedan looks like. The car is available with decent number of features for a base variant. The sedan is available with projector headlamps and comes with LED DRLs and one of them even acts as a turn indicator too.
The sedan is available with the gloss black grille at the front and we have also seen the premium looking bumper and Honda logo. Coming to the side profile, the sedan comes with 15 inch steel rims with plastic covers. The car comes with remote central locking and boot release button on the key fob.
The sedan comes with electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs along with LED turn indicators. As we move to the rear, the base variant gets red coloured LED tail lamps instead of the clear lens LED units in the higher variants. The car continues to offer the rear defogger and also gets a shark fin antenna.
On the inside, the car gets black and beige dual-tone interiors. There are soft touch materials on the door pads and it even comes with an adjustable driver armrest, halogen cabin lights and so on.

The car gets manual seat height adjustments along with adjustable headrests. The sedan comes with fabric seats and it comes with push start/stop button, 8-inch touchscreen, Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, reverse parking camera, Automatic climate control, Rear AC vents, rear parking sensors, 4 airbags, TPMS and so on.
The vlogger mentions that the sedan offers decent number of space on the inside. Despite being a base variant, the car offers decent number of features and that is what makes even the base variant a lot more value for money. When compared to the older version, the new City is actually larger than the older version.
The car is available with a 1.5 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine generates 119 bhp and 145 Nm of peak torque. The base variant of the City sedan is available with a 6-speed manual transmission option.
Price for the base variant of the City sedan starts at Rs 11.49 lakh, ex-showroom. What makes Honda City sedan different from the rivals is the fact that it comes with a strong hybrid setup. The Honda as part of their new strategy is planning to expand their line up and as part of the line up they are expected to come up with more hybrid cars for Indian market.
