Honda will officially launch the updated Honda City on May 22, 2026. It looks like Honda has already started production of this sedan, as images and videos of the upcoming model have started surfacing online. Lately, we have been seeing several images of the exterior of the sedan. However, we have now come across a new set of images that show the interior of the upcoming City facelift.
The images have been shared by Quartemile on their Instagram page. In these images, we see a black-coloured Honda City sedan parked somewhere in Kerala. It is possible that the sedan was outside a dealership or near a dealer stockyard.
We have already seen several images and videos of the Honda City facelift in a white shade, but the car seen in these pictures is finished in black. It actually looks elegant, and the revised grille along with the connected LED bar and the new headlamps suit this shade well.
We also see the new alloy wheel design and the smoked clear-lens LED tail lamps in the pictures here. There is Honda City branding on the tailgate, and we also notice the revised bumpers.

The next set of images gives us a glimpse of the cabin. The Honda City facelift now comes with a large touchscreen infotainment system. It looks like a large 10.25-inch unit with the same UI as the current Honda models. The sedan also comes with a revised centre console. We see the automatic climate control buttons along with physical controls for temperature adjustment. We also notice the seat ventilation button along with the front and rear defogger buttons.
It is not clear whether the sedan will get a wireless phone charger, but we do see a cup holder in front of the automatic gear lever. The cabin theme of the Honda City sedan is likely to be black and beige. There will also be soft-touch materials on the dashboard and door pads.
The AC vents are similar to the outgoing model, but we also see a 360-degree camera button on the left-side stalk behind the steering wheel. The electric sunroof appears to be the same size as the current version. The car comes with Honda Sensing or ADAS features, and along with the 360-degree camera, it is expected to get the LaneWatch or blind-spot camera system as well.
There are adjustable headrests for the front passengers, but not for the rear seats. The sedan will come with beige-coloured leatherette upholstery, although it misses out on electrically adjustable seats.
Coming to the engine and transmission, Honda is expected to offer the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated DOHC petrol engine that generates 119 bhp and 145 Nm of peak torque. The upcoming Honda City sedan will be offered with both manual and CVT gearbox options. Sadly, there will not be a diesel engine on offer.
Honda will also launch the strong hybrid or e:HEV version of the sedan in the market. With these changes in place, the Honda City facelift looks more premium, fresh, and ready to take on its rivals.
