
JSW MG Motor India has currently become one of the top automakers when it comes to electric car sales. And the credit for this goes to the MG Windsor EV. Now, in order to make sure that the company continues the momentum of success, four new electric cars have been lined up by the company. So, without any delay, here are the details of the four upcoming MG electric cars in India.

The MG ZS EV, which was one of the very first mainstream affordable EV SUVs in India, has been long due for a generation change. And most likely later this year, MG will be launching the S5 EV as a replacement for the ageing ZS EV. It is expected to be launched in the price range of Rs 22 to Rs 28 lakh.
This mid-size premium electric SUV will be based on the Modular Scalable Platform (MSP) and will be slightly larger than the ZS EV. It is expected to offer a longer wheelbase of around 2,730 mm. Reportedly, it will offer two battery pack options of 49 kWh and 62 to 64 kWh, offering a maximum range of 500 km. Power-wise, it could offer around 167 bhp and 250 Nm.
The MG ZS EV replacement S5 EV will also offer DC fast charging up to 139 kW and will charge from 10 to 80 percent in just 28 minutes. As for features, it is expected to get a large 15.6-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, and Level 2 ADAS.

MG will be launching India's first plug-in hybrid SUV, the MG 520, based on the Wuling Starlight 560, this year. And based on the same vehicle, the company will also be launching an EV version of it as well. The MG 520 EV is expected to be priced around Rs 25 to Rs 30 lakh and will sit above the MG S5 EV in the lineup.
This premium electric SUV will most likely be sold via MG Select dealerships, which is the premium dealership network of MG. Reportedly, it will be offered with a 56.7 kWh battery pack. As for the power figures, it will make around 136 bhp of power and 200 Nm of torque. The range offered will be around 500 km on a single full charge. Once launched, the MG 520 EV will take on the Mahindra XEV 9E, Mahindra XEV 9S, Tata Harrier EV, Hyundai Creta Electric, and others.

To enter the more mainstream affordable EV hatchback market, MG is planning to launch the Wuling Binguo EV-based small electric hatchback in India. This SUV is expected to make its debut later this year or by early 2027. As for the pricing, it will be priced in the range of Rs 8 to Rs 12 lakh and will rival the Tata Tiago.ev and Citroen eC3.
This compact, urban-focused EV will boast dual-tone styling and a very modern and sleek design. Globally, this EV hatchback is offered with a 100 bhp and 180 Nm of torque-producing electric motor. As for the battery pack, it gets three options internationally, which include 17.3 kWh (203 km), 31.9 kWh (333 km), and 37.9 kWh (410 km).

Later this year, around August, MG will launch its most premium electric SUV, the IM6, in India. This SUV will be priced around Rs 60-70 lakh and will rival the Tesla Model Y, Hyundai Ioniq 5, BYD Sealion 7, and the Kia EV6 GT. The flagship luxury EV SUV IM6 will be sold via the MG Select premium network and will be the third product on offer after the Cyberster and the M9 premium MPV.
Internationally, it is offered with a 100 kWh battery pack. The RWD variant of this SUV offers 401 bhp and 500 Nm of torque and a range of 625 km. Meanwhile, the AWD variant, which gets a dual motor setup, makes 741 bhp and 802 Nm and offers a range of 505 km.
In terms of design, it will be a very sleek and modern-looking SUV with smooth body lines and an elegant silhouette. On the inside, it will come equipped with a dual-screen dashboard, wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, heated and ventilated seats, reclining rear seats, a panoramic glass roof, a full ADAS suite, and semi-autonomous features.
