Starting off with one of the most popular SUVs in India, the Mahindra Scorpio N facelift. The company has been working on this facelift of the Scorpio N for a while now, and it is expected to be launched in August 2026 during Mahindra's Independence Day event. The updated model is likely to be priced between Rs 14 lakh and Rs 25 lakh.
In terms of the design, the Scorpio N facelift will not change drastically, but it will get subtle updates. These will include a revised front grille, sleeker LED headlights with LED DRLs, updated bumpers, new 19-inch alloy wheels, and other minor changes. The overall silhouette will remain the same and retain the bold and muscular road presence.
Apart from the exterior, the major changes expected inside the cabin will include a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system similar to the Thar Roxx. It will also get a fully digital instrument cluster replacing the semi-analogue unit. Apart from this, Mahindra is also likely to redesign the dashboard, add new air vents, and offer a dual-pane panoramic sunroof on higher variants.
Feature-wise, the SUV could get Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, and ventilated front seats, along with improved connectivity features. Mechanically, there will be no changes. It will continue with the same 2.0-litre turbo petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engine options with both manual and automatic gearboxes. The 4x4 system will also continue on select variants.

In addition to the Scorpio N, the Mahindra Scorpio Classic, which is a crowd favorite, is also getting a major facelift. It is expected to arrive in the same timeline as the Scorpio N in August 2026. The expected pricing will remain in the range of Rs 13 lakh to Rs 17 lakh.
The Scorpio Classic facelift’s updates will be more subtle. In terms of design, the SUV could get a slightly revised front fascia with sleeker headlamps featuring LED DRLs and a projector setup. The grille could get vertical chrome slats along with the new Mahindra logo. The bumper will also see minor tweaks.
On the sides, the SUV is expected to get new alloy wheels. Meanwhile, the rear could feature redesigned LED tail lamps, a chunky bumper, and a roof spoiler. Mahindra is also expected to offer a better touchscreen infotainment system and improved cabin quality. Powering the Scorpio Classic will be the same 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine producing 130 PS and 300 Nm of torque. It will be offered with a manual transmission only.

Moving on to Tata Motors, the company is preparing to launch one of its most important models, which is the Tata Safari.ev. It will become the brand’s flagship electric SUV, which will be a 7-seater. The launch is expected to take place around the festive season of 2026, and production will likely begin by August.
In terms of pricing, the Safari.ev is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 22.5 lakh to Rs 30 lakh. As for the design, it will remain largely similar to the current ICE Safari but will be offered with EV-specific elements. These include a closed-off grille, redesigned bumpers, EV badges, and aero-optimised alloy wheels.
On the inside as well, the layout will be similar to the standard Safari but will be offered with a more premium finish and updated colour schemes. The SUV will be loaded with features such as a 540-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS, OTA updates, auto park assist, summon mode, and even a UPI-based in-car payment system.
The Safari.ev will be based on Tata’s Acti.EV+ platform and will share a lot of technology with the Harrier.ev. It is expected to come with 65 kWh and 75 kWh battery packs. There are also reports that it could get an even bigger 80 kWh unit as well. The claimed range is expected to be around 500 to 600 km depending on the variant. It will also be offered with both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations.

Last but not the least is the Tata Avinya X. This premium electric SUV is expected to be launched in 2027 and will be priced between Rs 30 lakh and Rs 40 lakh. The Avinya X will be part of Tata’s new luxury sub-brand and will not be sold through regular dealerships.
Instead, Tata will be creating a separate premium sales network for this model. It will be offered in multiple seating configurations, including 5, 6, and 7-seater options. In terms of design, the Avinya X will be based on the concept showcased at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025.
It will feature a futuristic design with T-shaped LED headlamps and tail lamps, a dual-tone body, and a very premium overall look. Its length will be nearly 5 metres, and this will give the SUV a strong road presence.
On the inside, the SUV will get a minimalistic yet luxurious cabin. Features will include Level 2+ ADAS, ventilated and massaging seats, a panoramic sunroof, a powered tailgate, a 360-degree camera, and multiple large displays.
The Avinya X will be based on Tata’s dedicated EMA platform. At the moment, the exact battery and powertrain details have not been revealed. However, Tata has claimed that it could offer up to 500 to 600 km of range with extremely fast charging capabilities.
