Tata is one of those brands that has been very aggressive about electric vehicles in India from the beginning. It probably has one of the largest EV lineups in the country. Like most brands, Tata also has plans to expand its EV portfolio and is extremely bullish about it. Here is a list of four new Tata electric cars that are expected to be launched in the market soon.

The first on this list is the Sierra EV. Tata launched the Sierra ICE version last year, and deliveries for the same began this year. The company has already delivered over 20,000 units to customers. After the ICE variant, Tata is now preparing to launch the Sierra EV in the Indian market.
It is expected to be launched in the second quarter of 2026. It will feature the same exterior design as the regular SUV, along with EV-specific changes. The same approach will be followed for the interior as well. It is likely to be offered with two battery pack options borrowed from the Harrier EV - a 65 kWh unit for lower variants and a 75 kWh unit for higher variants. It will be available in both AWD and RWD configurations.

Tata is also testing the Tiago EV facelift, which has been spotted multiple times. This entry-level electric hatchback will retain its overall design but will receive minor updates such as LED DRLs integrated into the headlamps and new wheel designs. Similar to the Tata Punch EV, the brand might also introduce a larger battery pack with the facelift to make the Tiago EV more competitive in its segment.

Tata launched the Harrier EV last year, and with the Sierra EV lined up for this year, the next SUV in its EV lineup is likely to be the Safari EV. Like the Harrier EV, the Safari EV will adopt a design inspired by the ICE version, with EV-specific changes such as a closed grille and aerodynamic alloy wheels.
There are also reports that Tata is working on a larger 80 kWh battery pack, which could be offered with the Safari EV. This would allow the Safari EV to deliver a longer driving range compared to the current Harrier EV.

Avinya is a premium crossover or SUV that is likely to debut by the end of 2026. The Avinya Concept was first showcased at the Auto Expo, and later we saw different iterations at the Bharat Mobility Expo in 2025. It will be positioned as a premium EV and will not be sold through regular Tata dealerships, as it will have a separate sales network.
Unlike other Tata models, the Avinya will not be offered with an ICE option. Tata is also expected to equip the Avinya with an 80 kWh battery pack for better performance and range. The production version of the Avinya is expected to be launched by the end of 2026 or early 2027.
