Four new SUVs are set to launch in India over the next few weeks. In the one month starting from June 22, 2026, manufacturers like Skoda, Tata Motors, Nissan and Honda will launch new SUV models. Here is a closer look at these products.

The Skoda Kodiaq RS will launch in India on June 22, 2026. This is a performance-focussed version of the SUV, powered by the 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine, in a tune that's capable of producing 263 hp and 400 Nm- roughly 60 hp and 80 Nm more than the standard Kodiaq’s output. It will be able to do the 0-100kph sprint in just 6.3 seconds and will have a top speed of 231kph. It will thus become Skoda’s fastest SUV here.
The RS version will also be equipped with All Wheel Drive (AWD) technology, and ventilated and slotted disc brakes and larger two-piston calipers. In global markets, the RS version is available with Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC). It is unclear if this would be brought to the Indian market.
On the design front, the Kodiaq RS will have more Blacked-out trims than the regular SUV. It will ride on 20-inch wheels. The overall styling will be significantly sportier. The cabin will have a Black theme and likely pack more equipment including sports seats.

Tata Motors will launch the Sierra.EV on June 30th. It has been spied testing several times in the country. The electric version will retain the internal combustion version’s tall stance and muscular proportions. Signature styling cues like flush-type door handles, clamshell-styled tailgate, and panoramic rear glass areas, will be kept safe. The EV will, however, have unique design details like aero-optimized wheels, a closed-off front grille, new bumpers and more.
The Sierra.EV will be underpinned by the Acti.EV+ platform. This is the same architecture that forms the base of the Harrier.EV as well. Tata Motors hasn’t revealed the battery details. It is likely to use 55kWh and 65kWh units. The EV will also offer the choice of single-motor and dual-motor configurations. All Wheel Drive (AWD) will be offered in higher trims.

Nissan will launch the Tekton mid-size SUV in India on July 9, 2026. It will be a badge-engineered version of the Renault Duster. The Tekton will, however, have its own design identity- both on the outside and inside. The exterior styling is expected to have a clear influence of the Nissan Patrol in it. The cabin will have a Nissan-specific design. The feature list is likely to be shared with the Renault Duster.
The Tekton will be based on the RGMP platform and will be powered by the same engine options as the new Duster- 1.0L turbo-petrol, 1.3L turbo-petrol and a 1.8L strong hybrid. Both manual and automatic transmissions are likely to be offered.

The Honda ZR-V made its India-debut in May. Pre-bookings for the SUV are currently open and the price announcement is expected in July. Deliveries will also commence by then. The ZR-V will be brought as completely built unit (CBU) imports, and may thus have a premium pricing here.
The ZR-V is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder strong hybrid petrol engine making around 181hp and 315Nm. This setup consists of the petrol engine and two electric motors, paired with an e-CVT transmission. The SUV is claimed to have a 0-100 kph sprint time of 8 seconds, and a top speed of 172 km/h. More importantly, it is claimed to have a fuel efficiency of 22.79 km/l.
