Demand for SUVs in India and around the world is rising, and that is one of the reasons why we see brands updating their existing models or introducing new ones. It is only March, and we have already seen several launches in the market. In the coming months, we are likely to see many more SUVs being launched. Here is a list of four such SUVs that are set to launch in the next couple of months.
MG recently unveiled its flagship SUV, the Majestor, in India. It is a D+ segment SUV, which is larger than the Toyota Fortuner in terms of size. It is a rugged-looking SUV with a butch exterior design and strong off-road credentials.

On the inside, it offers premium features like seat ventilation, massage function, electrically adjustable seats with memory function, a panoramic sunroof, and more. The Majestor is powered by a 2.0-litre twin-turbocharged diesel engine that generates 215 PS and 478.5 Nm of peak torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The SUV is expected to be launched in the next couple of months.
After a long wait, Maruti officially launched its first electric vehicle, the eVitara, in India. Like many shared models, Toyota also has its version of the eVitara, which it calls the eBella. The electric SUV was recently unveiled and features a different exterior design to give it a distinct look.

The interior of the eSUV remains similar to the eVitara, and it is offered with the same 49 kWh and 61 kWh battery packs. The official prices for the Toyota eBella are expected to be announced in the next couple of months.
The next SUV on this list is an EV. The Sierra EV is the electric version of the ICE model that Tata launched last year. It will feature a similar exterior design as the standard version, with EV-specific changes like a closed grille, different alloy wheels, and a revised cabin, as seen in most Tata EVs.

It is expected to be offered with the same battery pack options as the Tata Harrier EV. Tata is almost done testing the Sierra EV, and it is expected to be launched sometime between April and June this year.
Nissan recently launched the Gravite, and the next product to arrive in the Indian market as part of its new strategy is the mid-size SUV, the Tekton. It is essentially a rebadged version of the Renault Duster, which was recently launched. The Tekton is based on the same platform as the Duster.

However, Nissan will give the Tekton a Mini Patrol-inspired exterior design to make it more appealing to buyers and to differentiate it from the Renault Duster. Now that the Duster has been officially launched, we expect Nissan to introduce the Tekton in the coming months.
