
Currently, the most popular Chinese electric car in India is the MG Windsor EV, and the rest of the top-selling EV spots are covered by Tata Motors and Mahindra cars. However, soon things will be changing, as in the coming period we will be seeing a number of electrified Chinese cars in the country. Now, if you are someone who wants to know which new Chinese cars are coming, then you have come to the right spot.

One of the most highly anticipated launches this year will be the Jetour T2 plug-in hybrid SUV. It will be launched in India by JSW Motors (JSW Group's new automotive brand) around the Diwali festive season, and it is expected to be priced between Rs 38 lakh and Rs 40 lakh.
The biggest highlight of the T2 will be its 1.5-litre turbo-petrol plug-in hybrid powertrain. It will produce 221 bhp and 390 Nm of torque from its combined petrol-electric setup. It will also get a 26.7 kWh LFP battery pack, offering an electric-only range of 139 km and a total driving range of over 1,100 km.
In terms of design, the SUV is heavily inspired by the Land Rover Defender luxury SUV. It boasts a flat bonnet, rectangular LED headlamps, large alloy wheels, a tailgate-mounted spare wheel, 220 mm ground clearance, and 700 mm water-wading capability.

Another important launch from JSW Motors will be the Jaecoo J5 EV. This C-segment electric SUV is expected to be priced between Rs 18 lakh and Rs 25 lakh. The J5 EV will measure 4,380 mm in length and offer a wheelbase of 2,620 mm. It is expected to come powered by a 60.9 kWh battery pack, which will provide a claimed range of 461 km.
As for the styling, it unmistakably looks like the Range Rover Evoque and Velar. On the inside, it will come equipped with a 13.2-inch vertical touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, ventilated and powered front seats, a panoramic sunroof, multi-zone climate control, and Level 2 ADAS.

One of the most rugged and unique-looking electric SUVs that will be launched in India will be the Chery iCar V23. This boxy electric SUV will feature a neo-retro design that will be inspired by the Land Rover Defender and will be launched by JSW Motors.
The iCar V23 is expected to come offered with two powertrain options. The rear-wheel-drive version will offer 136 bhp and a 59.93 kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 401 km. Meanwhile, the all-wheel-drive version will produce 211 bhp and come with a larger 81.76 kWh battery, offering up to 510 km of range.
The SUV will also boast 210 mm ground clearance, which will make it ready to take on tough terrains. It is expected to make its debut in India by late 2026 or early 2027 and could be priced between Rs 18 lakh and Rs 25 lakh. So far, a few test mules of the Chery iCar V23 have already been spotted testing on public roads.

The Chinese automaker BYD, which recently became the fifth-largest carmaker globally, is also gearing up for the launch of the new Atto 2 electric SUV in India. Once launched, it will rival the Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE 6, and Tata Curvv.ev.
The Atto 2 is expected to come equipped with a 45.1 kWh Blade battery pack and offer a range of around 380 km. Power output is expected to be around 175 bhp.
Apart from its advanced Blade battery technology, the SUV will come loaded with features including BYD's signature rotatable touchscreen infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, multi-zone climate control, Level 2 ADAS, and an overall premium cabin. It could be launched before the end of this year, and it could carry a price in the range of Rs 18 lakh to Rs 25 lakh.

BYD will also be launching its first plug-in hybrid SUV in India. It is expected to make its debut by the end of 2026 and will be positioned below the Sealion 7. The Sealion 6 SUV will come powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine paired with an electric motor and an 18.3 kWh battery pack. It will offer around 80–90 km of pure EV range and a combined driving range of close to 1,000 km.
The higher variants available internationally make over 323 bhp and get AWD. As for the pricing, it is expected to be around Rs 35 lakh to Rs 45 lakh. Its feature highlights will include a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, an Infinity sound system, and Level 2 ADAS.

The BYD Atto 3, which is already a decent seller for the company, is expected to get a major facelift in India. The updated SUV will get significant exterior and interior revisions while retaining its practical electric powertrain.
The facelifted Atto 3 will continue to offer the two battery pack options. These will include a 49.92 kWh battery offering a 468 km range and a larger 60.48 kWh battery, which offers a 521 km range.
Power output will remain at 201 bhp, and the SUV will continue to support 80 kW DC fast charging. It will also most likely be making its debut around the end of this year. Pricing of the BYD Atto 3 facelift could be around Rs 25 lakh to Rs 33 lakh.

BYD will also be launching the updated Seal electric sedan in India. The new-generation model will be based on the upgraded e-Platform 3.0 Evo architecture.
The updated Seal will offer revised LED headlamps, new connected tail lamps, redesigned bumpers, and fresh alloy wheels. It is expected to get a larger 69.07 kWh battery pack and offer a claimed range of up to 705 km.
Its feature highlights will include LiDAR-based ADAS technology, a large touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a premium interior. Pricing is expected to range between Rs 45 lakh and Rs 60 lakh.

JSW MG Motor is gearing up for the launch of the ageing ZS EV replacement, the all-new S5 EV, in India. This premium electric SUV is expected to be launched later this year, and its price could range between Rs 22 lakh and Rs 28 lakh.
The S5 EV will be based on the Modular Scalable Platform and will be larger than the ZS EV. It is expected to come equipped with 49 kWh and 64 kWh battery pack options and offer a claimed range of up to 500 km.
As for the power output, it is expected to be around 167 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. The S5 EV, in terms of features, will include a large 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, and Level 2 ADAS.

MG is also planning to launch its affordable and more practical Binguo EV hatchback in India. It will slot between the Comet EV and Windsor EV and directly rival the Tata Tiago.ev. The Binguo EV is expected to be offered with two battery packs. These will include a 31.9 kWh battery with a 333 km range and a 37.9 kWh battery with a claimed range of 410 km.
Unlike the Tiago.ev, the Binguo EV will support DC fast charging. It will also feature dual 10.25-inch screens and a more premium cabin. Pricing is expected to be between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 14 lakh.

MG will also launch the new 520 SUV in both electric and plug-in hybrid forms. This three-row SUV will rival the Tata Safari and Mahindra XUV 7XO. As for the pricing, it will be around Rs 25 lakh to Rs 32 lakh.
Its biggest attraction will be the 1.5-litre plug-in hybrid powertrain producing 197 bhp. It will offer up to 100 km of pure electric range and a combined driving range of over 1,100 km.
An all-electric version with a 56.7 kWh battery pack and approximately 500 km of range is also expected for India. Its list of features will include a 12.8-inch touchscreen, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, powered front seats, a 360-degree camera, and ADAS.
