April 2026 has brought a wave of aggressive pricing strategies and substantial discounts across major automakers in India. Whether manufacturers are clearing out previous year models, responding to competitive pressure, or aggressively pushing electric and hybrid variants, there are significant savings available for savvy buyers. This package includes a Rs 40,000 cash discount, Rs 75,000 exchange bonus, and additional loyalty and corporate benefits. The standard petrol City also sees strong support with up to Rs 1.56 lakh off.
Meanwhile, the Elevate SUV comes with benefits up to Rs 1.43 lakh, combining cash, exchange bonuses, and up to Rs 58,000 in accessories and support. The newly launched third-generation Amaze receives a more conservative Rs 68,000 off, indicating less pricing pressure on the fresh model.
The premium Nexa lineup is led by the Invicto strong hybrid MPV, which offers up to Rs 2 lakh off, comprising Rs 50,000 cash and generous exchange or scrappage options. The strong hybrid variants of the Grand Vitara receive up to Rs 1.75 lakh in benefits, including road tax waivers and a 5-year extended warranty. Under the Arena network, Maruti is heavily promoting its new flagship, the Victoris. The mid-size SUV sees up to Rs 1 lakh off on its strong hybrid variant, while the petrol and CNG trims get discounts ranging from Rs 85,000 to Rs 90,000. Additionally, an "April Dhamaka" scheme lets buyers upgrade to a Victoris and save up to Rs 1.3 lakh.

Skoda's April strategy relies heavily on clearing older stock, leading to a massive gap in discounts between Model Year (MY) 25 and MY26 vehicles. Buyers willing to take older MY24/25 Kushaq or Kodiaq units can see massive benefits of up to Rs 3 lakh and Rs 3.5 lakh, respectively. By contrast, the newer MY26 Kushaq drops to a Rs 1.05 lakh benefit, and the MY26 Kodiaq drops to Rs 1.5 lakh. The Slavia sedan offers up to Rs 1.05 lakh off for older stock, while the newer Kylaq SUV sees conservative discounts ranging from Rs 35,000 to Rs 75,000 depending on the batch.
Tata is distinctly prioritizing electric vehicle sales this month, highlighted by an aggressive Rs 3.45 lakh combined benefit on the Curvv EV (excluding the Creative 45 variant). This represents a nearly 19.7 percent discount on the base model's entry price, driven largely by a massive Rs 3 lakh Green Bonus. Outgoing long-range variants of the Punch EV receive up to Rs 1.55 lakh off, while the Harrier EV offers up to Rs 1.5 lakh off, targeted primarily as a loyalty bonus for existing Tata EV owners.
Tata's internal combustion engine (ICE) models are discounted much less aggressively. The Curvv petrol leads the ICE pack at Rs 57,500 off, and the Harrier / Safari twins come with up to Rs 47,000 off.
Like Skoda, Volkswagen is heavily discounting older VIN 25 stock. The standout deal across the board is the Tiguan R-Line, which gets a flat Rs 3.5 lakh cash discount, bringing total benefits to Rs 4.5 lakh regardless of build year.
For the Taigun, a pre-facelift clearance is underway. The MY25 Taigun Topline MT comes with a staggering Rs 3 lakh off, whereas the newer MY26 stock only receives Rs 50,000 in benefits without any cash discount. The Virtus sees more modest discounts, topping out at Rs 1.25 lakh for the Topline MT in VIN 25 spec, while the enthusiast-focused GT Plus variants get no direct cash support, only exchange and loyalty bonuses.
