Tata recently launched the all-new Tiago hatchback in the market. It has been launched at a starting price of Rs 4.69 lakh, ex-showroom. The entry-level hatchback from Tata, like most products from the brand, is a sturdy and stylish-looking car. Despite being an entry-level hatchback, Tata has loaded the car with several premium features. Tata has even made several changes to the cabin and the exterior to give the car a fresh look. Here we have a video released by Tata that shows all the features of the new Tiago.
The video shared by Tata Motors on their official YouTube channel shows the exterior, interior, and the new set of features that the car comes with. The video starts with the exterior. As part of the update, Tata has changed the front-end of the Tiago. It now gets sleeker-looking headlamps, which they call Lux Beam LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs. The front nose or the grille is a gloss-black strip that meets seamlessly with the headlamps. The bumper has also been redesigned.
It gets an aggressive-looking design with a decent-sized lower air dam. The side profile of the car remains the same, and we see thick black cladding around the wheel arches. The old wheels have been replaced with new 15-inch diamond-cut dynamic alloy wheels. Just like the front, Tata has updated the rear of the hatchback as well. It now gets an all-new tail lamp unit, which Tata likes to call Halo Lightbar connected tail lamps.
Moving in, the hatchback comes with a completely redesigned cabin. It is now finished in black-and-grey dual-tone fabric material, and Tata has also used recycled materials on the dashboard and many other parts. They are calling it the Fabricia Luxe dashboard. Tata is offering a twin-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo and control buttons for the touchscreen, cruise control, and MID. The instrument cluster and the touchscreen infotainment system are both floating units, and the dashboard gets an overall clean look.
There are physical buttons for automatic climate control, a dual smartphone deck with wireless phone chargers, 65W fast-charging Type-C USB ports at the front and rear along with a 12V socket, paddle shifters for the AMT, a fabric-touch driver armrest with storage underneath, keyless entry and push start/stop button, rear AC vents, along with 37 connected car features. The AMT variant now comes with a rotary gear selector instead of a lever.
Tata offers the Tiago in both petrol and iCNG versions. The Tiago iCNG version comes with twin-cylinder technology, which means there are two cylinders neatly placed in the boot in such a way that they do not compromise boot space.
In terms of features, Tata is also offering a 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitor, 6 airbags as standard across the range, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), hill-hold assist, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), ISOFIX child-seat anchors, automatic headlamps, and rain-sensing wipers.
The petrol version of the Tiago is available with a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates 86 PS and 113 Nm of peak torque. The hatchback is available with manual and AMT gearbox options. The same engine is offered with the iCNG versions too. This engine generates 73 PS and 96 Nm of torque in the CNG trims. Even the CNG variants are available with manual and AMT options.
The Tata Tiago is available in Varanasi Vibrance, Sobo Surge, Pangong Pulse, Pure Grey, Daytona Grey, and Pristine White shades.
