Nissan and Renault decided to start a new chapter in the Indian market this year and, as part of their new strategy, both brands have huge plans for product expansion. Renault has launched the Duster, and Nissan has also started with their B-segment MPV, Gravite. Apart from the Gravite, they have other products lined up for launch. As the demand for SUVs is rising globally, Nissan is also concentrating on this segment. Here we have a list of 6 new Nissan SUVs that are coming to India soon.

Nissan recently revealed that they will be launching their mid-size SUV, Tekton, in the market on July 9, 2026. As we already know, the Tekton is a heavily rebadged version of the Renault Duster. It will get an exterior design inspired by the Nissan Patrol. The interior and the features are all expected to be the same as the Duster.
It will come with the same Level 2 ADAS, automatic climate control, blacked-out cabin with contrast stitching and piping, seat ventilation, panoramic sunroof and so on. The Tekton will be offered with a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbo petrol engine and a 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine. The bigger engine will come with manual and DCT gearbox options, while the smaller one would only get a manual gearbox.

After the regular Tekton, Nissan would also launch a more efficient strong hybrid version of the Tekton in the market. Nissan will follow the same strategy as Renault. The SUV will remain the same in terms of design and features.
However, it would be powered by a 1.8-litre petrol engine paired with an electric motor, which is part of the strong hybrid system. This system is said to be extremely efficient and, in the Duster, Renault claims that the same technology would allow users to drive the car as an EV 80 percent of the time within the city. This would be launched around the festive season this year, probably after the Duster Hybrid’s launch.

Nissan is also said to be working on a 7-seater SUV. Like the Tekton, the 7-seater version is also based on the same platform. The SUV is expected to get the same Patrol-inspired exterior design. Nissan recently described this SUV as a “very exciting product,” and the launch is expected to happen in early 2027.
It might be slightly longer than the regular Tekton because of the three-row layout. It will be offered with a 1.8-litre strong hybrid and the 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine with manual and DCT options.

Nissan resumed their CBU business a couple of years ago when they brought in the X-Trail. The SUV failed from day one because it lacked features and was extremely expensive. It looks like Nissan, as part of their new strategy, has decided to bring another product, and this time it is not going to be just any SUV but the popular Patrol SUV.
The Nissan Patrol is already a favourite among celebrities in India. These are private imports, as Nissan doesn’t officially offer this SUV in India yet. That is set to change, as Nissan plans to launch the Patrol in India by mid-2027. The Patrol is available with a 3.8-litre naturally aspirated V6 engine and a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol engine. It remains to be seen which variant we will get in India. This is going to be the flagship model for Nissan and would compete with the likes of the LC300 from Toyota.

Nissan recently shared their interest in entering the sub-4-metre SUV segment in India. It is extremely competitive, and almost every brand has at least one product here. While the Magnite was doing the heavy lifting for Nissan in this segment, Nissan might introduce a new SUV in this segment based on Renault’s Bridger concept.
It is an all-new SUV that is being developed by Renault’s team in India. It is going to be an SUV made in India for the world. It would use a multi-energy platform, which means it will support both ICE and hybrid powertrains. It would be offered with petrol, turbo petrol, strong hybrid and CNG options. The launch of the Bridger-based Nissan SUV is expected to happen by the end of 2027 or after Renault launches the Bridger.

As mentioned above, the platform on which the Bridger-based SUVs will be based is a multi-energy platform. Apart from petrol, hybrid and alternate fuel options, Nissan and Renault will also launch an electric version of the same SUV. It would become the entry-level EV from Nissan in India. The Bridger concept-based EV is expected to be launched sometime in 2028.
