
In order to increase interest and make it more accessible, the Czech carmaker Skoda recently launched the updated 2026 Kodiaq flagship SUV in India. This time around, the price tag has been slashed by Rs 3 lakh, and the higher variants now also get ADAS Level 2 with 7 features. Now, in order to promote the newly updated model, Skoda India has released a new TVC (Television Commercial).
The new TVC of the 2026 Skoda Kodiaq has been shared on YouTube by the official page of Skoda India. It starts off with a man driving his 2026 Skoda Kodiaq, finished in the bright shade of Bronx Gold Metallic color, and stopping at a two-road junction. He then receives a call in which the other person tells him that the Japanese tea shop was closed.
Soon after this, the man starts driving aggressively and reaches the airport. We can then note that three Japanese officials arrive, and he then picks them up. Next up, the video then starts highlighting the premium features of the Kodiaq. Of these, the first one which is shown is the massage function on the front seats after the Japanese individual is seen suffering from a backache.

Next up, the video then shows the ADAS Level 2 of this SUV working by displaying the lane keep assist on the 10.25-inch digital instrument gauge cluster. Additionally, the video also shows the panoramic sunroof, large luggage space, and the 7-seater layout of this SUV. Finally, the video concludes after the owner takes the Japanese officials to a tea stall where he teaches them the Indian way of drinking tea.
Now, coming to the main updates that have been given to the new 2026 Skoda Kodiaq. The main highlight is the addition of the ADAS Level 2 suite in the mid-spec Sportline and the high-spec Selection Laurin & Klement variants. The new Kodiaq’s ADAS suite includes seven features.

These are namely adaptive cruise control, adaptive headlights, frontal assist for warning and braking, lane keep assist, side assist with blind spot detection, rear traffic alert, and an exit warning system. Additionally, the Sportline trim has also been given new features such as a 360-degree camera and front grille-embedded LED DRL strip. These were earlier only offered on the top-of-the-line variant.
The pricing of the new 2026 Skoda Kodiaq has also been reduced significantly. It now starts at Rs 36.99 lakh, which is Rs 3 lakh cheaper than before. It has to be noted that this price is for the base Lounge variant, which comes with a 5-seater layout. Then, the Sportline variant, which was priced at Rs 46.89 lakh, is now priced at Rs 44.99 lakh, and lastly, the top-of-the-line Selection Laurin & Klement variant has been priced at Rs 46.99 lakh, which was previously priced at Rs 48.69 lakh.

The powertrain of the Kodiaq has remained the same. It still gets the same 2.0-litre TSI turbo petrol engine, which makes 201 bhp and 320 Nm of torque. This engine comes mated to a 7-speed DSG gearbox, and all three variants of the Kodiaq get an AWD system.
