
For a lot of people, having a 7-seater SUV is very important, and the number of such people in India is going up every day. Due to this, a number of major automakers in India are now gearing up for the launch of new 7-seater SUVs. Today, we are presenting you with a list of 10 new 7-seater SUVs which will be launched in India this year.

The first 7-seater SUV that will be launched in India will be the MG Majestor. This SUV will be officially launched next month in April, and its deliveries will commence from May. Pricing of the MG Majestor will be in the range of Rs 40-45 lakh. Powering this mammoth SUV will be a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine making 215.5 PS and 478.5 Nm of torque. It will also be a very capable off-roader, as it will feature triple differential locks, 10 terrain modes, crawl control, and many others.

Next up is the Mahindra Scorpio-N’s facelifted iteration. This SUV will be getting a complete front fascia change with new LED headlights, a new grille, and a new bumper. Other notable highlights will include a panoramic sunroof, ADAS Level 2, 360-degree camera, a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument gauge cluster, and much more. Powertrain options of 2.2-litre diesel and 2.0-litre petrol will remain the same. Pricing of this SUV will be in the range of Rs 13.5 lakh to Rs 24 lakh.

After the launch of the Scorpio-N facelift, Mahindra will also be launching the Scorpio Classic facelift. Most likely, it will boast some minor cosmetic changes and some updates on the inside, including a bigger infotainment system. The same 2.2-litre engine will continue to power this popular SUV. It is expected to make its debut later this year, and the pricing will be around Rs 13.5-18 lakh.

Based on the updated IMV ladder-frame platform, the new generation Toyota Fortuner will most likely be making its debut around the end of 2026. This time around, the overall silhouette will be similar to the current model. However, the front fascia will be inspired by the new generation Hilux and boast a set of sleek LED headlights, a new front grille, a new bumper, and new alloy wheels, along with new LED taillights. The interior of the new Fortuner is expected to offer a number of new features which have been requested by the buyers of this SUV. Pricing will be around Rs 36-50 lakh.

A little while ago, Skoda launched the new generation Kodiaq 7-seater SUV in India. And now, in the second half of this year, this SUV will be offered with the iconic 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine, which is capable of making 200 bhp and 400 Nm of torque. As for the gearbox, it will get a 7-speed DSG gearbox and an AWD system. In terms of the design, it will most likely look very similar to the petrol version.

Apart from the reliable diesel-powered Kodiaq, the company is also gearing up for the launch of the more sporty and enthusiast-focused version, the Kodiaq RS, in India. This SUV’s main highlight will be its 2.0-litre TSI turbo petrol engine, which makes 261 bhp and 400 Nm of torque. Despite its massive size and weight, it will perform a sprint of 0-100 kmph in just 6.3 seconds. Notable elements will include gloss black styling, 20-inch alloy wheels, red brake calipers, and an all-black sporty cabin.

Volkswagen has already launched the Tayron R-Line in India with a price tag of Rs 46.99 lakh. Now, it has been reported that it will be offered in a non-R-Line variant as well. This version is expected to be priced around Rs 40-50 lakh. Basically, it will be a slightly more affordable version of the Tayron R-Line. It will be slightly less sporty in terms of design.

The 7-seater version of the new generation Duster, Renault Boreal, is expected to make its debut before the end of this year. It will be launched to rival the Mahindra XUV 7XO, Tata Safari, and other 7-seater SUVs. This CMF-B architecture-based SUV will be longer than the Duster and will boast a few key exterior design changes. Powertrain options will remain the same as the Duster, including the 1.3-litre turbo petrol and the 1.8-litre strong hybrid. As for the pricing, it is expected to be around Rs 18-25 lakh.

Kia’s first hybrid SUV for India will be the Sorento 7-seater, which will be launched later this year. This SUV is expected to launch in the range of Rs 20-30 lakh. Powering this SUV will be a newly developed 1.5-litre petrol strong hybrid powertrain. Notable highlights will include a sharp exterior design with the signature Tiger Face grille, vertically stacked LED headlights, an aggressive front bumper, large alloy wheels, and others. On the inside, it will come loaded with features to the brim.

The last 7-seater on this list is the Jeep Meridian petrol. Currently, the Meridian is only offered with a diesel engine, and it is expected to get the same 1.5-litre TGDi turbo petrol engine as the new Tata Safari and Harrier petrol. This motor will make around 168 bhp and 280 Nm of torque. The design and the feature list of the Meridian 7-seater petrol will remain the same as the diesel variant.
