A number of people have already bought the newly launched second-generation Kia Seltos in India. However, there are a lot more people who have been waiting for the ownership review of this new SUV from real owners. Now, recently, a YouTuber who bought the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine-powered Seltos has shared his honest opinions on his new SUV online.
The video review of the new Kia Seltos 1.5-litre NA has been shared on YouTube by Harsh Tanwar on his channel. It starts off with the vlogger mentioning that he has recently bought himself the new-generation Seltos. As for the engine option, he highlights that after researching for a while and considering his requirements, he has opted for the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine.

Soon after this, he then starts to address the most common question, which is whether the 1.5 NA engine feels underpowered. The vlogger, while driving the vehicle, mentions that although this engine needs revving while picking up from first gear, it does not feel underpowered in any way. On the other hand, he also mentions that it feels very smooth and refined.
During the night drive, he also comes to stop-and-go traffic and mentions that the new Seltos has now become a bit wider, which can be felt easily while maneuvering in tight spaces. Next up, while driving the car, he also shows how quickly it picks up speed when the roads get empty. He also mentions that as the new model gets all four disc brakes, its stopping power is amazing.
Additionally, he also talks about the mileage of the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine. He highlights that so far he has been getting a mileage of around 12–13 kmpl. However, when driven gently, he mentions that it can easily reach 15–16 kmpl. Next, he adds that he has opted for the 6-speed manual gearbox variant, which is also strategic.

The vlogger highlights that the 1.5 NA engine with the automatic gearbox can feel a bit laggy to a lot of people. However, when the gearbox is manual and the driver can select the gears themselves, it does not feel as laggy. He adds that he has a mixed driving pattern of highway cruising and city drives, so getting the manual was the best choice for him.
Speaking of the 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, which makes 158 bhp and 253 Nm of torque, he mentions that it is expensive to buy and also expensive to maintain. He adds that the maintenance cost and the mileage of the 1.5 turbo engine are very low compared to the NA engine, so he did not opt for that.

The 2026 Kia Seltos with the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine makes 115 bhp and 144 Nm of torque. As for the pricing, it starts at Rs 10.99 lakh and goes all the way up to Rs 19.69 lakh. It is offered with 6-speed manual, CVT, and IVT gearbox options.
